Based on previous year cut off, you have tough chances of getting Mechanical Engineering or EEE in Andhra University College of Engineering, Vishakhapatnam.  Last year the cut off rank for EEE in this college was 3093 and for ME was 2898. Cut off changes every year depending on certain factors, and this year cut off is not released yet, so I'm providing you previous year details.

For EWS students in 2019 cut off by rank  of CSE  was 8593.

So it is expected thet it would be around 10000 this year.

Yes you can probably get AGBSC in top 10 government colleges easily as the closing rank starts from 20k so it won't be much of a problem for you

I appreciate your concern but before thinking if it is worth joining or not , you should ask yourself whether you are really interested in it or not , will doing this course make you contented from inside and now coming to your question , yes it is a really good branch as well as offered by a great university like andhra university. The only reason why this branch lags behind because not many companies hire students from this branch , so placement records are not as good as other branches but still 30% of the students get placed every year from this branch.

You didn't mentioned your category which place a vital role in predicting your college offering horticulture course. If you belong to general category you have less chances to get seat in horticulture. If you belong to any other category rather than general category you have more chances to get seat in horticulture.

If we estimate from your performance and from the last year results and if you're in BC-E, ST or SC category, then you may get a seat in he agriculture course in A.U. region. This is because, from the last year results, the cutoff rank limit ranged for the categories BC-E, ST AND SC candidates hailing from A.U. region are 14977(non-farmer) & 20920(farmer), 17585(non-farmer) & 20985 (farmer) and 14095(non-farmer) & 20819(farmer) respectively.

But, if you're not in the above mentioned categories, then it's quite difficult or very precise, you may not get a seat in agriculture program from A.U. region. But, don't need to worry, this is an estimation. You may apply at private colleges providing agriculture programs from A.U. region.
