Dear student,

The expected cut off of the first round for the B.Sc mathematics for allahabad university is:

Categories Cut off Marks (Expected)
All Categories 168 and above

based on this score you might get into the main campus of the university as the marks tends to go down by 10-15 marks in the further rounds of counselling. So be positive and hope for the best!

hello aspirant ,

With your above secured rank , you have good chances in getting seat in good colleges or even Andhra university also , but chances of getting a CS branch is much likely to be less.

Also try your admission in your home state as per your Home state quota , as there are also some high chances to get you a admissions seat there . You have got a really good rank , so you might get EE , CE , ECE and like that .

You can also apply for some top colleges too.

Furthur for more details regarding the cutoff , you can check the below articles :

Hi,

No there is no such rule that you can change your branch even before first semester, but yes there is a criteria by which you can easily change your branch after first year and for that you have to score above 8 grade points and to be in top 10 percentile of your class. Then you can switch your branch.

It depends on which college you took admission. But as when you are enrolled in the stream you can't change at that moment. But you can change in your second year. let me explain you. In your first year, the syllabus and the curriculum for all the branches are the same. There is no difference. But after the 1st year, you enter to your stream subject slowly. So after 1st year, every college gives a chance to change the stream. but there is a criterion to change the stream. It depends on colleges. Generally, the minimum criteria is 8+ YGPA but it may vary from college to college. I suggest you to ask the criteria for changing the stream.

Hello,

Seat allotment is done based on factors such as total number of candidates applied, rank of the candidate, category of the candidate, seat availability, preferences of institute and branch. You will be allotted seat in one of the institutes and branch that you have filled during choice filling for seat allotment. If you aren't satisfied with the seat allocation you can participate in second phase counselling and provide only the preferences of institute and branch in which you are interested.

Dear aspirant,

As you have secured 22k rank so for Andhra University let me tell you the cut off is very high for computer science engineering  so you can check for the lower colleges.

Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

So you need to visit the link for getting appropriate knowledge and decide accordingly.
