I got 89% in my 12th grade am I eligible for bits?

Hello dear,

You have to score a minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks in all the three.

There is no requirement of getting an aggregate of 75% in all the subjects i.e. even if you score less in English and Physical Education, you just have to work hard in PCM and score marks told above.

So if you have more than 60% in PCM, you are eligible for BITS.

how are placements ME DESIGN ENGINEERING in bits pilani (hyderad campus)?what is summer term in bits pilani?

Hi,
As per knowledge placements for ME students in general is little difficult than compare with BE students. Not only in bits but every where in India.

Comming to placement in ME Design engineering

placements were good as companies like TCE, Shell, GE, Covidean, in recent years but don't expect high packages. Not only through placement but you will get chance to get job in your PS itself (ex- Eaton, IFB etc)

Some times bits hyderabad students can attend placements in pilani campus for few companies (ex - Michelin tyres etc) and vice versa .

So in short placements were good. Note that there where few student who were not able to get placed (very less though, due to various reasons).

But if you work hard and prepare well for placements you will definitely get placed in good company. And trust me Bits University will always do it's best for students.

Can i get admission in bits if have scored 54 marks in physical education. but have 80% aggregate in pcm with atleast 60% in each of pcm

You can get direct admission in BITS only if you are a board topper of your state or zone. For the conventional procedure of admission you have to appear in BITSAT i.e. an entrance exam coducted by the BITS for their intake. The application forms are available usually from second week of january. In April you get the admit card which has exam date, time and venue on it. The exam score is available just after the submission of the test. Then the candidates have to apply online with the test score and the 12th score mentioned in the application. As you have score 80% in PCM, you are quite eligible to apply for the BITS. The physical education marks doesn't matter much if you score good in the BITSAT. If haven't applied for the BITSAT already then you are too late for this year's intake. You can choose from some other good options or wait for the next year.

Hello,

For admission in BITS, you must have an aggregate of 75 percentage in your Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects if you are an engineering aspirant. Along with this, you should also have at least 60 percent marks in these subjects. If you are fulfilling the Boards criteria, then the BITSAT marks would decide your admission in BITS. Please note that one can NIT predict the exact BITSAT cutoffs as for now. It hasn't been announced yet. But looking at the previous year trends of cutoffs, if you score between 270 to 300, then you would have chances to get in BITS. Please note that the mentioned Boards criteria is an important one.

Your mentioned marks are 75 in Chemistry, 78 in Physics and 69 in Maths. Well, you must be aware of the fact that for admission in BITS, you need to have an aggregate of 75 percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Maths along with at least 60 percentage in each of the three subjects(PCM). Since you have less than 75 percentage in these three subjects, I don't think you would be eligible to get admission in BITS Pilani Campus.

Why has Career360 rated BITS Goa at AAA+ whereas BITS Hyderabad at AAAA+, the cutoff scores seems to prefer the other way...pls explain?

Hello Muthu,

Every year Careers360 ranks and rates the Top Engineering Colleges in India.This ranking is based on factors like quality of students, research output, industry interface, publications, academic productivity and so on. And not just the cutoffs.

The major parameters are:-

Yes you can take direct admission in bits but there is a huge amount of donation. Through management quota you can take admission in these college . For this you have to contact directly to the college .

Dear Aspirant,

You can get a seat in BITS pilani if your secure good marks and rank in BITSAT and have a PCM aggregate of 75%(Physics + Math+Chem /300) since those are minimum requirement in any reputed university in India. Do calculate your PCM aggregate and perform well in BITSAT.

Sir I got 76% in PCM, but got less marks in physics TS board exams, will that be accepted for admission in BITS?

You scored good in your puc....and i wanted to tell u that wether u know or not but pcm marks are calculated by combining all three sub ie physics maths and chemistry no matter how much you got in any subject ...the only thing that matters is you have to get an avg of 75 above...so if you have than enjoy....

As everyone know Birla institute of technology and science Pilani campus is best over all campus. It have a best infrastructure new and well furnished building and classes with AC and all facilities. Free wifi in all over the campus, well maintained hostels with security.

My experience at BITS is quite amazing and wholesome.

College Infrastructure

The college is well equipped, have best of infrastructure and amazing labs and workshops. The food points carter to everyone’s tastes and are open late night. The overall infrastructure of BITS pilani is good.
