Total fees of BITS Pilani per semester will be ₹147975 (Tuition + Hostel + Mess & Electricity + Misc. fees) for Sem 1 2016–17. (mentioned on SWD website)

BITS Pilani can increase its fee up to 15% per year (mentioned in the brochure provided to students). And they mostly do! Summing up, your fees for next 4 years will be ₹147975 * 2 * (1+1.15+1.15*1.15+ 1.15*1.15*1.15) = ₹14.78 lacs. Adding your PS-I fees (around 30k), you can approximate this figure to ₹15 lacs for a four-year course.

I am sorry but you can't get CSE at BITS Pilani but you can get it at BITS Hyderabad only. You can check cut-off from this site

YES, you will be forced to take the branch that you will be alloted as per your preference. You cannot change it now.

First, tell me 286 is your marks or rank. If you got 286 rank then you can technically get anh branch you want except CSE. But if 286 is your marks, then its tough to get CSE, ECE, CIVIL.

Yes, you can write bits exam. This exam can be written with class 12th and also one year after 12th. So, you can go ahead.
