Good Luck.

BITS Pilani is one of the best institutes in India. I am 110% positive that the BITSAT organisers never met up to decide to keep the difficulty level different on different days. They hold no grudge what-so-ever against people who decide to wrote their exam on another day.

Now I used my time up to actually prepare for the exam so I am not really sure about how the test goes about but what I had heard was that they have three question banks for the questions: easy, medium and hard. They have a set percentage of each type of question. They generate the test by randomly pulling out questions from these question banks. So for them the tests are all of the same difficulty level. However, from a students perspective some questions may be easy and others hard despite them belonging to the same level according to the people who set the exam. If the stars and the moon align right then a particular student might get all the supposedly easy questions. So for him this test might be easier compared to the others.

However, all of this is totally arbitrary and I would suggest you dont wast your time on such trivial matters. If you study then you wont face such problems. One thing you would realise later on is that whatever set you write in a particular exam is the hardest. So dont think too much about all this and focus on whats important.

All the best :)

I've been in this position more or less. So I can answer your question based on experience. Because I'm at peace now, and I'm sure you will be too. This is going to be long, so keep reading, with patience.

I passed high school in 2014, scored 79% in ISC board and 70 in Jee mains. I couldn't get get any college by far, and the only options I had were local third tier colleges. Just like you, I didn't want such a college out of the fear of insults. For a month I was totally distraught. So I know what you are feeling. Exactly almost.

Later I put my head down, and prepared for JEE again. And now I'm studying at NIT Raipur. The humiliation you're thinking about, is just there for a day or two, not more than that. And you can take it, you have to. So if you want a better career, you can drop a year and prepare. Appear for improvement in board exams.

Or, you can take admission in any engineering college, and pursue your passion religiously. It's easier if you're interested in programming, just like I am. As you can prove your mettle even if you are at a not so good institution.

Hope I helped. And if you have any other queries, ask them in the comments.
