You need to mention category when filling the form and your rank is prepared based on the application form. Most of the colleges do not change category during counseling, you need to provide the name of the college so we can check it for you and let you know.

In order to be admitted to HBTU, Kanpur for the IT branch, as per the cut off ranks of 2017, you should secure a rank between 13000-14000. Last years cut off rank for IT was 13468.
