Hi there,

Since you have not mentioned your category I am assuming it to be general. As per the previous year cutoff you can make it to IIIT Jabalpur. For more information you can refer this link: https://design.careers360.com/articles/uceed-cutoff

Hi,
If we look at comparative analysis of IIST and IITH then I'd say that IIST is better for a narrow field of area ie astrophysics due to the following reasons
  • Selective field: IIST is more focused on space science which also allines with your interest in astrophysics, IIST is newer and has well equipped labs at par with older IITs
  • Placements: if you look at the placements then simply put IITs generally get better placements, but IIST being a new colleges get lesser visits from companies.
  • Core: if you r intrested in more theory and science then you should go for IIST but if you are more interested in technology, engineering and placements then go for IITH

Hello aspirant!

IIT JAM cutoff tells about the minimum marks required to qualify the examination but doesn't guarantee admission in any particular institute. The cutoff depends on many factors like difficulty level of question paper, number of applicants, etc. Now, previous few years cutoff trends for your category ie OBC-NCL are as follows:-

Year          2017        2018          2019

Cutoff       21.02       25.61        18.28

Now, the cutoff varies every year due to changes in number of applicants and difficulty level of paper so it is very difficult to predict the marks or rank required to qualify IITJAM, however, these previous year trends may help us in getting some knowledge about cutoffs. So, a score of 25+ could be good enough to clear the cutoff.

Now, referring to your query about IIT BOMBAY and IIT HYDERABAD. Firstly, IITB, the previous year opening and closing ranks for OBCNCL category is as follows:-

ROUND 1:- 104

ROUND 2:- 104

ROUND 3:- 111

It is very difficult to predict the marks required to get these ranks, however, using marks vs rank considerations , a score of 50+ in Chemistry would give a rank in between 0-100, so you should aim for score close to 50 for IIT BOMBAY for your category.

Now, for IIT HYDERABAD, the previous year opening and closing ranks for OBC NCL are as follows:-

ROUND 1:- 513

ROUND 2:- 513

ROUND 3:- 627

Similarly, predicting the marks required for this rank is very tough but using marks vs rank considerations, a score between 35-40 could give you a rank close to 500.

Hope this helps you.

Hello,

To get admission in IITs you should qualify the jee adv examination.  To be appeared in the jee adv you should have 85 percentile in the jee main.

As you are from general category then to get this IITs you should have 200 out of 360.  After that you have the chances to aim for CE,  ME,  CSE.

Hope it will be helpful for you.

Thank you.

Hey aspirant!
As of now, it is difficult to predict the actual qualifying NTA score for JEE Advanced eligibility. However, going by views of many experts, if you have a percentile above 85-86 then you have a decent enough chance to qualify irrespective of your category. However, you should refer to the previous year JEE Main qualifying cutoff scores by NTA as follows to understand your chances:-
Common Rank List (CRL)

89.7548849

GEN-EWS

78.2174869

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL)

74.3166557

Scheduled Caste (SC)

54.0128155

Scheduled Tribe (ST)

44.3345172

PwD

0.11371730

Therefore, looking at previous year's trends it is a big possibility that you would qualify for JEE Advanced. Also, you still have another opportunity to improve your results by performing better in the April attempt and I would advise you to be concentrated on that too and give it your best shot.

As regarding your query about Artificial Intelligence at IIT HYDERABAD, it is a relatively new course and so prediction for cutoff is really tough, however an AIR of 600-700 would be sufficient to qualify for it, however, an AIR of under 500 would probably seal you the seat. Also, note that the previous year opening and closing rank for the course was 657 and 1601 respectively for General category while the opening rank for ST students from ST rank list was 142.
Good luck.

Following are the cut offs of 2019
Programme Name

Total Marks

Percentile Score

4-year B.Tech. Courses

CSE

573

99.958238

ECE

941

99.929344
Hope it helps.
