It was good, if we particularly talk about digits then almost 70-75% students are placed from CSE IIT Jodhpur. The average package was about 15 lac per annum. But the companies are not so high profile, if you really want to explore yourself then I strongly suggest you to try for off-campus placement.

Firstly IIT jodhpur is a new iit but it is growing very quick, and the placements are also very good.

Secondly electrical is an evergreen branch like cse and definitely there will be lot of demand of an electrical engineers in future so if you are getting electrical at iit jodhpur you must take the seat.

Both, IIT Jodhpur and MNIT Jaipur are good in every aspect like infrastructure, teaching and education, placement offers, campus, etc.

IIT Jodhpur is a newly established IIT while NIT Jaipur is one of the oldest NITs.

But, looking at the aspects being an IIT and a NIT, both are good.

But, at last, you have to decide which branch you want to take - Electrical or CSE !

It all depends upon your interest in the subject or topics of the  branch that you have to pursue.

Hello shvetang.patel1 , From some research I found that the IIT Jodhpur is best but one thing you need to know is Which branch interests you more? If a particular branch interests you more go for that irrespective of the College because branch is more important than the college. But if you have not interested in branch then go for IIT Jodhpur.

Iit jodhpur is much better in terms of placement in comparing with nit trichy Average salary package offer in iit jodhpur is around 15 to 17 lpa while in nit trichy Averagesalary package offer is 9 lpa.

Faculty is good in both the college since both have good ranking and recognition.

Facilities available in nit trichy is more than in iit jodhpur .

The recent faculty in IIT Jodhpur consists of 6 permanent members and 2 are visiting faculty members. All the permanent faculty members at this institute is highly qualified and recognized widely in their own fields. The diverse research interests in all of these faculties provide students with numerous options along with research option as well. Facilities are quite noteworthy for the students who are here only for gaining knowledge rather than focusing on jobs only. I can't tell about placements very surely since I don't want to make you confuse also it's not a very old institute yet very few but good companies like Microsoft, Morgan Stanley are coming for placements.

Both the institutes are pretty new. Placements of CSE of IIIT Naya Raipur are more or less comaparable to placements of Mechanical and Electrical Departments of Newer IITs.

Secondly, I believe if you are getting Mechanical, you shouldnt let go of the IIT Tag. Choose IIT jodhpur Mechanical over IIIT Naya Raipur.

If the choice was between institutes like IIT jodhpur and IIIT Allahabad or NIT Trichy, then maybe decision could be taken otherwise.

One of the best things in IIT Jodhpur is the newly developed infrastructure and Air Conditioned Hostels. Rajasthan being somewhat near to Industrial Districts in Delhi, NCR, Gujrat, Punjab and Haryana further ensure good placements in core branches.As far as Mechanical is concerned Tata Motors, Hero Motocorp,Maruti Suzuki are regular recruiters.

Of course its your choice, if you want to study CSE, you might always choose IIIT Naya Raipur or some other new IIIT over an IIT ir NIT,but decide wisely. At the end its your career and the branch you choose, CSE or Mechanical should take you into confidence since Day 1.

Let me tell you one thing that your question does inform that you aren't biased towards any of those branches.
So you would possibly be worried about the life-style , campus or even about placement or maybe almost placement.
Now coming to "which is better" a part of question .
At IIT Jodhpur, you'll end up in bunch of top minds of country because all of them (mechanical ones) secured an AIR of around 4000 in toughest exam of the country.
This would offer you more chance to prosper due to competition there.
