Hello,
This is quite a complex situation of choosing a college.
Doing MTech in Sensors and Iot will be much better than doing power engineering.
But Iit Ropar has better placements than Iit Jodhpur.
But if you compare in detail doing mtech in sensors and Iot will be better choice as this is in trend .
The placements will be fine in the near future for Iit Jodhpur.
Best Wishes
No doubt it is a good college for mtech mechanical. Firstly congratulations on getting iit jodpur because the seats for mtech in iits are really less. Secondly you must not give a second thought of taking admission there. It is of course a good college for mechanical engineering and you will have lots of placement from here
Hello,
As you have mentioned that your jee score is 407 and you fall under obc category. But you haven't mentioned your rank. Nevertheless, i am mentioning the closing ranks for IIT tirupathi, if you rank fall under this rank then you may the get the college :
Closing rank for IIT tirupathi :
Closing rank for IIT jodhpur :
These Closing ranks are for the last year(2018).
Having said that the cutoff changes every year depending upon various factors like number of seats available, number of candidates appearing for the examination, difficulty level of the question paper. So, again this year the cutoff gas increased by near about 10-25 marks.
So, for the furthermore information please go through the link given below to predict the colleges you may get :

hello Dhruv,
If we compare between the 2 IITs then IIT Jodhpur is better than IIT Goa in both the branches mechanical and electrical.
so between the two iits IIT jodhpur is better.
if we talk about branches mechanical and electrical then MECHANICAL branch is much better than electrical branch in IIT Jodhpur.
And the placement of mechanical is also better than electrical.
placement in mechanical is 78% whereas placement in electrical is 56% as per previous year result.
hope this may help you.
Hey Sourabh,
Placement is very good here, around 90% students or more gets placed from here in top companies around the world like, Birla, OnePlus, sbi, red fm, etc. Avg Salary offered here is about 8 to 10 LPA. So overall everyone got placed somewhere or other and many left for master abroad and IIM CAT. While the highest package was around 30 LPA
HOPE THIS HELPS

It totally depends upon your interest. If you are too determined that you want to persue your career in CSE, then i would suggest go for IIT jodhpur. However, if you are not sure about it, then i would suggest go for IIT BHU as its a better one. Moreover, mechanical is a really good branch.
