Hi
Yes, only West Bengal students are eligible for reserved categories.
This is because,
WBJee counselling pdf clearly mentions that
Other state students are not eligible for government aided colleges in wbjee. West Bengal domicile requirement is there for seat in Government aided colleges, seats in Aliah university and 90 % of general seats for Jadavpur University( 10% seats are open for other state for Jadavpur University) and also other state students are not eligible for reservation i. e OBC/ST/SC etc.
You can check the same on the page number 9 of WB Jee counselling PDF , the link for which is provided value:-
https://wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjeecms/File/GetFile?FileId=57&LangId=P
As per the eligibility criteria of Jadavpur University to be eligible for B tech
You must have passed 10+2 / equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 60% marks or 45% aggregate marks in case if you are from reserved category
You must have passed each subject separately ( including both theory and practical). You must have also got atleast 30% marks in English.
You can check the same by visiting our page for which link is provided below

Thank you
Hi Sayantan,
Jadavpur University being the most sought after institute in West Bengal, the competition is tremendous. Unfortunately with your rank, i.e. 2851 it is extremely difficult to bag a seat in the Information Technology domain in JU even though you belong to OBC category B.
However, you might qualify for other branches in JU with your rank and reservation. Do checkout the cutoff of various branches in JU over the past years by clicking the following link.

Hope this helped.
Hi aspirant, since you have 2200 rank in your WBJEE exam so you can easily take admission in the colleges you have mentioned in the question with the branches you have decided so one thing is important in choosing your college among your prescribed colleges you need to remember first that there are two factors like;
College with your desired branch doesn't matter the which college you opt.
Secondly college according to your finance condition.
So it's on you whether you want to go with your desired branch in any of the college whereever you get seat or you may choose college on behalf of your financial condition.
Thank You.
Dear Aniruddha,
Congratulations on getting chance in Haldia college. In case of Jadavpur university please note that your Gmr is considered while admission, not your tfw ranking.
So as per statistics your Gmr is greater than the closing ranking of Jadavpur university hence you are not eligible. You can check the cut-off details and previous year trends of Jadavpur university in the link below:

Hi,
If you have a gap between your 12th grade and your bachelor's admission year, or between your bachelor's and master's degrees, it is required for college admission. It detects the cause of the gap, which is usually: competitive examination preparation, health concerns, dropout etc.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
Hello Aspirant,
Yes definitely you can do so. Suppose you took admission in Jadavpur University using your WBJEE score and later on in September your JEE-Main result will be declared and there if you got good score for which you are sure that they can take you to any of your dream NIT or whatever NIT you want then you can appear for JOSAA counselling and if the satisfying seat is allotted to you then you can withdraw your admission from Jadavpur University and your documents will be returned back but note that some portion of your amount deposited in the college might get deducted as admission charges and some other miscellaneous charges.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
Hi
Your GMR rank is considered in wbjee
It is very difficult to predict the actual rank as it varies every year based on different factors like
Number of seats available
Number of students appeared for exam
Performance of the students
Difficulty level of the paper
Based on your general rank of 13187 and being from st category it is very slim chance to get admission in IT department in jadavpur University. As for 2019 3rd round cutoff in IT department is 13823.
Other branches you may get are:
Architecture
B pharma
Civil engineering
Construction Engineering

University College of Science, Technology and Agriculture, Kolkata- chemical technology
Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia- EE, IT
Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Jalpaiguri- ECE, CSE
Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata- CSE, IT
Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata- CSE., IT
HOPE IT HELPS.
Hi Indranil,
Jadavpur University is perhaps the most sought after college under the WBJEE belt, therefore to get into it requires very high ranks.
Unfortunately with the rank at hand i.e. 19672, you might not get admission in JU even under OBC-B category for Food Technology And Bio-Chemical Engineering.
Generally the cutoff for the above-mentioned branch for OBC-B category is around 4000.

Al the best.
Dear aspirant,
As you have secured 2k rank in wbjee and taking into consideration that you belong to tfw category and your rank is 270 so let me tell you that it is very difficult to get it , mechanical, electronics or electrical branch in general category even if your domicile is west bengal.
You can hope for branches like civil, construction, production, food technology, printing technology but above mentioned branches are not possible as per my knowledge.

Our University has very good infrastructure. But a little bit old fashioned. But our department has many laboratories such as APPLIED MECHANOCS LAB, HEAT POWER LAB, HYDRAULICS LAB, FITTING SHOP, CARPENTRY SHOP, BLUE EARTH MACHINE SHOP, FOUNDRY SHOP, FORGING SHOP. We also have two computer labs in our department.
The college infrastructure is up to the standard and the students are provided with a conducive learning atmosphere. Classrooms are large and properly placed in the structure, and the library, which contains various sources of books and journals, is adequately provided. The campus is clean and green, and the students are able to enjoy the surroundings.
My college has all the necessary infrastucture , facilities and equipments for the students to study in our campus It has all smart clsses , seminar halls , libraries , sports centres and hostels and wifi also.
