Hi Saikat,
You may choose to do a Postdoctoral fellowship after you PhD from BHU. A number of universities abroad do look for researcher fellows for such programs.
You will have to do a thorough research of such opportunities yourself. A number of fellowship sites such as researchgate may come handy in this process.
All the best!

Thank you
Hope this information helps you.
See, having a legacy of over 100 years and being one of the old Indian Institute of Technologies, both IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and IIT BHU enjoys the full glory of being an IIT. Most of the good companies that recruit in India, they recruit from here. So, rest assured about the placements as you'll get ample opportunities in both the colleges, Now the ball is in your court as you can chose the field which excites you the most.
I would personally recommend you to go to IIT BHU as Banaras is a good city as compared to Dhanbad, so you'll be able to enjoy and explore more here.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
The syllabus of Electronics and Communication at the IITs is very overlapping with computer science and engineering, and as a result, all the companies which come for recruiting from CSE also allow ECE people to appear for them because of their calibre and syllabus, which is not the same as mechanical, as mechanical companies are less in number and are not known for being paymasters.
So, I'll personally recommend you to go with ECE at IIT BHU as it has a very good scope and you'll excel in it. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
See, the future of Electrical Engineering is always bright as it is one of the core branch and now especially in the Indian Institute of Technologies or IITs, electrical engineering and ECE is mixed, which is very close to computer science and as a result all the companies which come for CSE for placements also allow EE and ECE students to appear, as the course is very much the same for both.
So, if you want to go for Electrical in IIT BHU, it is a very good decision and I'll recommend you to go forward with it. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Hey aspirant,
If you are interested in knowing the average salary package offered at IIT BHU for MTechCSE students I will surely help you with it. The maximum package Was around 45 lakhs and on the other hand the minimum was recorded Around 12 lakhs per annum. Hope this helps all the Best!
The infra is I would say average only not too good and not too bad …it need to work on its infra they really need to work on that otherwise people would stop taking IIT BHU …most of the nits have better infra
Hostels: Separate hostels for boys and girls with amenities like laundry, dining halls, and medical centers Labs: Modernized laboratories for various subjects including chemistry, physics, and computer science Library: A well-equipped library with over 88,000 books, terminals for accessing databases, and more Sports facilities: A sports complex with a swimming pool, tennis courts, indoor squash courts, and more Auditorium: A large auditorium Canteen: A cafeteria Gym: Separate gyms for boys and girls
The infrastructure of this IIT needs to be improved as far as other IITS are concerned. We will find decent hostels situated on campus. It also has its own mess, which provides decent food. Classrooms are also well-equipped with modern facilities. Here, the library has very limited capacity so it needs to be expanded.
