The entrance test for MA Economics in Jadavpur University is conducted for 2.5 hours carrying 100 marks from sections as follow-

• Section A: Microeconomic carrying 13 MCQs for 26 marks

• Section C: Mathematical Economics carrying 12 MCQs for 24 marks

Eligibility criteria for btech :

• Passed class 12th from a recognised board, physics, chemistry and mathematics is compulsory. Must score at least 60% marks In Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately (45% if you are an SC/ ST Candidate).

• Must be 17 years old at the time of applying for admission.

• Must clear WBJEE with a good percentile for admission to Jadavpur University.

90% of seats are for the general category only for West Bengal domicile students while 10% are reserved for other state candidates.

Jadavpur university is a reputed university with NIRF ranking of 17.

For engineering/ pharmacy streams

You are eligible for WBJEE once you complete your 12th education in a science stream that is with physics and mathematics along with computer science / biology / chemistry / biotechnology as a compulsory subject with 45% in all subjects taken together (for general category) or 40%( for SC, ST, OBC) and English with Atleast 30% marks from any central or state recognized board of education.

For architectural streams

You need mathematics as a compulsory subject for 12th and also you have to pass aptitude test.

The entrance exam dates for JU has not been official yet. The syllabus includes questions from the English subject of the class 12. It includes logical reasoning, essay based questions, descriptive questions from poems. The course fee for the B.A. English program at Jadavpur University is INR 7,200.

Jadavpur University, Kolkata offers only B.A English. It doesn't offer B.A English honours. There are 50 seats in Jadavpur University, Kolkata for B.A. English course. To get admission in this college for B.A English course WBJEE entrance exam marks are considered for admission and based on counselling results the seats are allocated to the students. *number of students that appeared in the exam,

*kind of marks obtained by them ,

*toughness level of the examination wbjee etc.

But yes,

When we go through past year qualifying cut off trends then

In wbjee 2019, 107 in wbjee was closing rank for general category for getting computer science in Jadavpur University.

The application form for admission into Jadavpur University will begin from first week of June, 2021.

The admission into various courses is done on the basis of score obtained by students in the entrance exam. You need to appear for the exam in order to secure your seat for admission in the university.

For BA English (H), They ask MCQ as well as descriptive questions. You can get the idea by looking at the past papers of the entrance exam.
