With a TS PGECET rank of 1,178 in Civil Engineering (OBC-D category), your chances of getting a seat in JNTU Hyderabad or Osmania University (OU) for core specializations like Geotechnical, Structural, or Transportation Engineering are difficult, as these branches are in high demand and generally close within the top 500–700 ranks.
However, you have better chances in:
1. JNTU Sultanpur
2. Aided/private colleges affiliated to JNTU/OU
3. You may get a seat in later rounds (spot/mop-up) if some seats remain vacant.
HELLO,
Yes, with a branch rank of 700 in Electrical Engineering you have decent chances of getting a seat in JNTUH Kondagattu through TS ECET counselling , especially in the final or spot rounds . However admission depends on various factor such as :
1.Your category
2.Local/non local status
3.Seat availability and cutoff trends
4.Number of applicants in that year
You can check the previous cutoffs from this link :- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/jntuh-college-of-engineering-karimnagar/cut-off

With a 54,000 rank in AP EAPCET, here’s the realistic outlook for Mechanical Engineering:
SVU Tirupati: Unlikely. The Mechanical branch usually closes much earlier—around 25,000 to 30,000 rank for general category. Even in second phase, chances are very slim.
JNTU Anantapur: Possible. Mechanical here has gone up to 60,000–65,000 in later rounds in past years, especially for certain categories. Your chances in second phase are fair, especially if seat availability increases.
