Hey there,
You should go for CSE at IIIT Lucknow. If you want a better exposure faculty and facilities then go for this college otherwise if you to study the metallurgy engineering then you can also go for nit Rourkela. Nit Agartala is not very much good in terms of packages of placement and facilities when you compare it with these two colleges.
So in my opinion just join IIIT Lucknow.
Good luck ahead !
Hi,
The placement and job opportunities are quite good in this college. The average package is around 5.5 lpa. Also, the computer science stream has around > 90% placements each year. And the electronics stream is also having the same statistics as that of the computer science department. Other departments are also having good placements, but the stats are not that strong. Big companies like Oracle, Samsung R&D, Yoodle, Accenture visits this campus.
Dear aspirant....!!
Instrumentation Engineering in NITA isn't a very old branch, started off in the year 2009, which, I'd say, accounts for its less faculty count .
The infrastructure and facilities are pretty much as same as any other branch. Labs are well equipped, faculties- very helpful and student friendly. And placement statistics are pretty decent as well.
But yes, in order to get a good placement, you have to put effort. You need to go through some of the programming languages, Datastructure, or any other such courses, from yourself, which will help you get placed in an IT firm.
Truth to be spoken, not many core companies visit NITA for Instrumentation, the count being at 2-3 companies every year. Some of them pay pretty good, others, not so much.
As to PSUs, they have only been coming for the last 2-3 years and ofcourse, a good number of people get placed in them. But for that, you have to know your branch well, your basics clear and the core subjects well read.
All in all, Instrumentation is a really good branch, you can score more with the littlest of effort and the opportunities are plenty.
I'd say go for it, give your best and you'll be successful.
Hello Mayank,
Congratulations for making this decision.
According to me nit silchar is more developed than nit Agartala. We can compare them on many basis -
1) Campus- Both the campuses are very good but nit silchar has edge here. You will find that nit silchar has better campus life including all facilities, mess , library etc.
2) Academics- This is actually good in nit silchar. Nit Agartala does not have very good faculty. In nit silchar you will find good teachers and also you will be having more scope to go into research there.
3) Placement- Nit silchar has far better placement than Agartala. This is because of the remote location of nit Agartala. Almost all big companies visit nit silchar but not Agartala. Alumni base of both the college is good.
I strongly suggest to go for nit silchar

Hi There !

The college has separate buildings for all the departments. College has updated and separate labs. It's has huge campus. The campus has sports Complex, playground, many canteens, faculty quaters, and guesthouses within the campus.
NIT Agartala boasts a well-maintained and modern infrastructure that complements its academic environment. The campus is spread over a vast area with well-equipped academic buildings, laboratories, and workshops that cater to various disciplines. The library is spacious, providing access to a wide range of books and e-resources. Hostel facilities are comfortable, with good amenities for students, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Sports complexes, auditoriums, and recreational spaces add to the holistic development of students. Overall, NIT Agartala’s infrastructure is quite decent, supporting both academic and extracurricular pursuits effectively.
The campus is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure required. Everything is present inside the campus, e.g., a market, restaurant, shops, etc. All hostels have Wi-Fi (but it has data limitations). There is no problem of water scarcity. Canteens are good in number, as mess food is very poor and gets boring in a month. For sports, there are plenty of grounds for every game. Medical facilities are also available inside the campus but can only provide treatment for minor diseases.
