with 41375 crl can i get in nit durgapur under HS quota

As per previous year cutoff ranks in NIT Durgapur under Home State Quota, with a rank of 41375, you can get Bio-Technology only.

Since your results are out, so you must know your category rank and other ranks by now. But, I would like to inform you the second part of the question regarding college. This year the percentile cutoff for NIT Durgapur or JNU would be much above than what you have achieved. But, since you have SC category, you might have a chance! However, you haven't mentioned your home state. So, it becomes to difficult to exactly predict whether you would get your desired college and branch. How are the placements at NIT durgapur for CS students?

Hello aspirant,
NIT Durgapur has overall great placement record every year due to which it is in the top 10 NITs in the country. In fact, CSE branch has almost 100 percent placement every year and has become the best branch in terms of placement since IT branch is merged with it from 2018-2019.

Which gives more salary CSE in Iiest Shibpur or Electrical in Nit Durgapur

Hey Pankaj,
Salary of the different branches cannot be just predicted easily. It all depends on the companies visiting and the talent of the students. However, for an average student, CSE in IIEST Shibpur will be a better option to earn more packages. But, if you have potential, you can do great things and get highly paid from Electrical in NIT Durgapur also.

My marks in jee main 2019 was 108 and sc category hs rank was 4543 with 90.57 percentile will i get cse in nit durgapur or in iiest shibpur?

Hi there with this percentile your probability to get nit durgapur is less. As per previous year cutoff for cs for sc Category it was (open ranking-954 and closing ranking-1367) . And for iiest shibpur for home state cutoff for cs branch was 903 as closing ranking.

what will be the scope in job industry if i do btech in chemical engineering from nit durgapur?

Hi supratik ! Nit Durgapur is a very good college to do chemical engineering. Not at so high level but good. Last year average package went 4.5 lacs/annum. And highest went to 10 lacs. Well there also good packages of 6-7 lacs. But for this you must work hard to be in top students of your streams because those level of packages are very less in number. After all it will be best if you acquire a m.tech after b.tech so that you can in any overseas oil company. So best of luck to you.

Since, your class 12th board exam aggregate marks is less than 65%( SC category) , so you are not eligible for admission in NITs or IIITs even if you have scored good marks in jee mains engineering entrance exam.

Recently in NIT Durgapur the Research Excellence Building was inaugurated, which will positively impact the college reputation and overall ranking, the food quality in hostel mess is excellent and healthy, the college has two grounds for sports and a large library with numerous collections of books is present in the central library, Classroom are neat and clean and are digital.

College Infrastructure

Its a decent NIT with good infrastructure with good libraries canteen cafeteria hostel for boys and girls. Though class rooms are not in good position some are non ac room, benches are uncomfortable in 2025, but renovation is going on.
