Hi supratik ! Nit Durgapur is a very good college to do chemical engineering. Not at so high level but good. Last year average package went 4.5 lacs/annum. And highest went to 10 lacs. Well there also good packages of 6-7 lacs. But for this you must work hard to be in top students of your streams because those level of packages are very less in number. After all it will be best if you acquire a m.tech after b.tech so that you can in any overseas oil company. So best of luck to you.
Hi,
It all depends on your choice on what you are interested in,computers, working and building stuff or do the core branches fascinate you
Have a look at the courses through several educational websites, youtube and see where you are interested in the most
If you are looking at it in terms of placement then
CSE at IIEST
Electrical-NIT Durgapur
Mechanical-NIT Durgapur
Hi
The seat allotment is done using All India CRL ranks.
So I'll mention the ranks accordingly. These are last year cut offs and for last round.
COLLEGE RANK
IIEST 25269(HS)
5933(OS)
NIT Durgapur 19569(CSE)(HS)
2653(CSE)(OS)
Hi aspirant,
The closing rank for SC category was around 4,500 for B.Tech Metallurgical Engineering at NIT Durgapur. This year's cut-offs are also expected to be similar with slight variation. Irrespective of the variation, the cut-off will not be more than 5,000. So given your rank, you will not be able to get admission in any stream.
Hey there,
In terms of placement and average package nit Durgapur chemical engineer branch has an edge over iiest shibpur civil engineering branch. I will suggest you to go for the second one only if you want to clear the competitive examinations at State and National level.
I hope you have got your answer.
Good luck ahead !
Hey Sunil
It all depends on you .All three are amazing colleges but have a really different set of pros and cons. DTU and NSIT are more established and well known . On the other hand IIiT Delhi is a never establishment and has a little different environment as compare to NSIT/ DTU
IIIT Delhi is a research oriented college and is too good at academic so if you want to be true engineers then go for it. If you want a big brand name and a huge campus then NSIT or DTU is a better option . Speaking about the placement DTU and NSIT have highest packages offered but when it comes to the percentage placement IIIT delhi leads them
Hope this helps!
The campus boasts modern infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories, smart classrooms, and a comprehensive library stocked with the latest resources. High-speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campus, facilitating seamless online learning. Hostel facilities are commendable, offering clean rooms and hygienic food. Sports complexes and recreational areas are well-maintained, promoting a balanced student life.
NIT Durgapur has some very old buildings, but the newly formed Academic block, utkarsh bhawan is very good infrastructures. Library also good. Senior hostels are little bit less maintained, but hostels for 1st year and 2nd years are good.
Not par with the NIT standard. Sports could be better, lots of unutilized area in campus. Academics is good, most professors are interactive. Good club culture, allows student to learn outside of academics.
