Hello,

IIT Dharwad is a relatively newly established institute and the first batch of engineering graduates in 2020 only, it is yet to be ranked by NIRF. IIT Dharwad requires quite a lot of time to develop and stand on par with other IITs..

While NITK Surathkal is one of the oldest NITs of the country and is ranked 10th by NIRF this year for Engineering. If you want a good college life and good placement at the same time, NITK is the best choice. Placements: Overall placements are around 93-95%.NITK already has a proper campus, infrastructure and the exposure you get there is much much better.

NITK Surathkal is the better option to choose.

Hope it helps. Best luck!!

College Infrastructure

Could be better. Hostels are old. Cleanliness could be improved. People are nice. Staff is decent. They try to do their best but they struggle to accomplish the same. No hot water. Lot of bee hives and I've been bit multiple times. Food is nice.
