Karaikal Railway Station is about 11 Kms from the NITPY. The simplest and most economical way to reach NITPY is Bus Routes from Puducherry and Chennai pass through the Institute (to stop at Thiruvettakudy Arch) to reach Karaikal Bus Stand.From Karaikal Railway Station. An auto can be hired for a fare of minimum Rs.100/- to directly reach the NITPY Campus.

The nearest Railway Station to reach Karaikal is located in Nagore which is just 15 km from from Karaikal. You can take a taxi or bus to reach Karaikal as these options are available outside the railway station.

Placements for NIT Puducherry was stunted from a long time,but now it has started growing with an average package of 3-5 lakh per annum.And package range was about 2.7-7 lakh per annum from previous year statistics.Placement record is growing slowly ,the comapnies who visit here are IBM,Snapdeal,Trimble,Itron,Inatech,Sapient,capgemini and many more.In mtech students were placed at 7 lakh per annum in previous years.Also to be noted ,placements mostly depends on student how we perform.I hope it helped

As far as reputation of NITs are concerned, NIT Silchar has a higher reputation as compared to NIT Puducherry or NIT Srinagar for that matter.

Also if you want an NIT tag, then BIT Mesra doesn't provide you that plus it's reputation is declining as well. 

As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get in b.arch are:-
