National Institute of Technology Puducherry offers B.Tech courses in the field of Engineering and Architecture. The duration of NIT Puducherry B.Tech courses is 4 years and is divided into 8 semesters. The details of NIT Puducherry admission process is given below.

• Candidates must meet NIT Puducherry B.Tech eligibility criteria. 

• The students interested in pursuing B. Tech in NIT Puducherry must fill out and submit the application form for JEE Main.

• After the release of the admit card, the students have to appear for the examination and secure qualifying marks in the same.

• The candidates then have to attend the counselling rounds conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) or under the CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board).

• Candidates have to select NIT Puducherry as their first choice or preference and if the candidate meets the established cut-off of the institute, then he/she will be allotted a seat in the institute.

• The NIT Puducherry admissions are done based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main examination.

• Candidate should appear for the document verification round conducted by the institute and after successful payment of NIT Puducherry admission fees, the candidate can begin with the B. Tech programme.

• The candidates interested in pursuing Ph.D. in NIT Puducherry must meet eligibility criteria fill out and submit the application form for Ph.D. 

• The department will release the list of shortlisted candidates for the entrance examination.

• After the candidates have cleared the entrance examination, they will appear for the interview round.

• The final selection of candidates for NIT Puducherry admissions will be based on the marks scored in the master's degree, marks scored in the entrance examination and performance in the interview round.
