NIT Delhi Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

• NIT Delhi Admissions 2025-2026 is open. Seats will be allotted to the students based on their performance in entrance exam and counselling.
• NIT Delhi Seat Allotment: Btech seat intake is 384, while a total of 111 seats are available for Mtech course.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi offer admissions at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. National Institute of Technology Delhi admissions are offered to B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA in various disciplines. For admissions to NIT Delhi, it's necessary to keep track of the important dates.

NIT Delhi admissions 2025 are entrance-based. For BTech courses, the NIT Delhi admission process is to qualify for JEE Main and then participate in JoSAA counselling. NIT Delhi BTech Admission Dates 2025

National Institute of Technology Delhi offers a B.Tech in 7 specialisations. Based on candidates' JEE Main rank, NIT Delhi UG admissions will be offered. Only the candidates satisfying NIT Delhi B.Tech selection criteria are offered admission. NIT Delhi B.Tech selection process is through JEE Main scores and JoSAA counselling. NIT Delhi B.Tech Admission Process 

• Meet the NIT Delhi eligibility criteria for the BTech course. 

• Eligible candidates must appear and qualify for JEE Main.

• Candidates qualifying JEE Main cutoff are only eligible for further rounds of the NIT Delhi admission process.

• Eligible candidates must register for JoSAA online counselling.

• It must be noted that the authorities will conduct registration and choice filling shall be held in an online mode.

• After JEE Main results are announced, the authorities release the JoSAA rank list. Separate rank lists are prepared for different categories. 

• The rank list is prepared based on candidates’ scores in JEE Main.

• Eligible candidates have to participate in JoSAA counselling for NIT Delhi admissions.

• JoSAA results are announced online, candidates can download the provisional allotment result by logging into their accounts on the official website.

• Students must pay the seat acceptance fee.

• Students must qualify for the NIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff.

• Once the allotment process is completed, students must report to the allocated centres for document verification which is the last step in the NIT Delhi selection process.

Students are offered admission to the M.Tech programme at the National Institute of Technology at the postgraduate level. Students must apply, appear and obtain valid scores for the GATE to be eligible for further rounds of the NIT Delhi PG admission process. • Appear and qualify for the Entrance Exam conducted by NIT Delhi.

NIT Delhi Ph.D. Admission Process 2025

• Candidates are required to meet the NIT Delhi PhD eligibility criteria. 

• A screening committee is formed by each department with HOD to screen the applicants for Ph.D. admissions at NIT Delhi.

• Eligible candidates must appear for the national-level written test organised and conducted by the National Institute of Technology Delhi.

• Candidates must obtain at least 40% marks in the written test to be eligible for the interview round. An important note- the written test syllabus shall be the same as the latest GATE/NET syllabus in related branches of Engineering/Technology/Science/Humanities. 

• Candidates who will qualify for the written test shall be notified to attend the interview. The interview will be taken by the interview committee and this committee will be responsible for submitting the provisional list of candidates recommended for Ph.D. admissions at NIT Delhi. Therefore, the final decision shall be made by the director through the office of the dean.

• The NIT Delhi admissions are done based on the performance in the written test and interview.

• The selected candidates should submit the required documents along with the payment of the NIT Delhi admission fees to complete the admission procedure.

• Original birth certificate issued by competent authority/Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.

• Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms, especially the Aadhaar Card.

• Character Certificate, Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate (in original to be submitted)

• Original Grade/ mark sheet (if applicable) of the qualifying examination for all semesters. Proof of payment of seat acceptance. 

• Original course completion certificate from the head of the university/ Institute in case the result is awaited.

• Medical Certificate as per the format given on the CCMT website.

Note: One set of all the above documents has to be submitted with the online admission form and the same documents must be produced at the time of physical verification reporting.
