There are two lecture theatres in which there are air conditioned classrooms having a capacity of 120 each . There is one old building of library and a new building which is air conditioned having a capacity of 400
The academics is really good The professors are very friendly and jolly. The academics I designed according to the syllabus of different competitive examination like GATE,ESE etc. Tere is a competitive environment among the peer group
The placements are really good My branch placement (mechanical engineering) I 100% from past 3 years and the average package is above 8 lakhs and highest package is 18lakhs and big companies like oracle Honeywell arrive on campus
College Infrastructure is decent like there are two lecture theatres where the classrooms have a sitting capacity of 120 each. There are two library building one old and other the new one which is air conditioned and has a sitting capacity of 400 and the old one is a book hun.
The academics of the college are also good. The teachers are highly qualified and syllabus is designed according to different competitive examinations like GATE,ESE etc. There is a learning and collaborative environment in the peer group.
The placements are very good.In my branch (mechanical engineering) from past three years there has been a 100% placement among the eligible students with an average package of 7.5 lakhs and a highest package of 18 lakhs.
Yes, this college is a great value for money option. Because the return on investment is very good. I pay around 60000 per semester for the academic fees and and around 50000 for mess and hostel facility.
Campus life is also decent. Like there are multiple indoor and outdoor games option, open air theatre and temple inside the college and various technical and cultural fests as well. There is a lot of greenery in the campus but the construction work is going on 365 days
The infrastructure is quite decent and they are improving it every year .The campus have spacious classrooms, a central library, computer centers, well equipped laboratories and canteens.Hostels are fine but mess food is average.
The institute provide good academic exposure and tonnes of opportunities for technical ,cultural and extracurricular growth .The learning environment here and peer group make the experience worthwhile. The faculty is also considerate.
Placements here are strong only in tech branches like CSE, IT and ECE where companies like Amazon,Wipro , Infosys and Deloitte visit regularly . for the recent year , the highest package offered was 52 LPA by Amazon.
As it is a government college so the institute fee is much lower than the private colleges. The curriculum mostly focus on the practical work and the lectures also focus on the questions asked in the government exams .Gate AIR 1 was 2023 passout from here only
Campus life is awesome and enjoyable with cultural and technical fests like Utkaansh and TechNiti. On the downside, the campus is situated on the outskirts of Jalandhar, so one cannot expect city exposure and hangout options here.
NITJ is a good institute for engineering with decent academics and placements, especially in the computer related fields. While there are some challenges like hostel quality and the weaker plcements in certain branches . The NIT tag ,support of the faculty, and the opportunities provided by the campus make it valuable choice for the aspiring engineers and the hostel life is still lively because of the strong bonding among the students and the diversity .
It is quite great. It has a very well-designed curriculum and classrooms, and the library is also very well-updated with books from every domain. The hostel provides students with a comfortable living experience and makes earning enjoyable.
The academics and the professors are amazing. They help nurture every student's skill set and make them industry-ready and confident in their domain. The college has helped me learn all concepts thoroughly.
The students have been provided with offers from the best Multinational companies. They not only bring amazing companies onboard but also help students prepare for the same. The overall placements are outstanding.
NIT Jalandhar has good infrastructure with well-developed labs and classrooms. There are three hostels for first-year students: BH1, BH2, and BH5. BH1 and BH2 are better than BH5 because the food and facilities are much better in BH1 and BH2, but BH1 and BH2 are four-seater, while BH5 is a two-seater.
Some teachers are very helpful, while others come to class only for course completion. In the first year, you get a mentor who helps you in any kind of situation. The first year can be quite tough due to a lack of time. Seniors are friendly and help with both academic and non-academic problems.
placement has been good for the last three years, with an approximate rate of 95%. The median package for IPE is 7.5 LPA, the average package is 8.38 LPA, and the highest package is 18.87 LPA. Overall, the college's highest package is 52 LPA, and the average package is 9.48 LPA.
Very good college . Personally I like the college because of everything which you need full fill in this college college infrastructure is so good library, Gym outdoor indoor all type of game available
Academic is not so good because in ECE teachers are very strict they don't give us good marks so that cgpa affect . But not for all if you study smartly then ofcourse you will get good cgpa . Otherwise than good academics.
Due to recession placement affect but also so many students got hired in this year also . So placement is okay not too much good and bad it's okay okay. Special in my branch ECE placement is very good in this college.
I think after getting admission you should focus on your goals. Do everything but always focus your goals what do you want to do in your life . Because here every one have their own goal . So don't copy others just focus which you want to achieve.
Campus life is too good in this college . You will never feel boring after getting this college . You will get gym so many clubs you can joined . And enhance your confidence , develop personality . So overall campus campus is good
I want to add one. More things that college give you platform only other improvements you would do yourself never depends on other . So trust yourself and achieve your goals
The Infrastructure is good all the necessary facilities are there. Classrooms are digital, fully air conditioned as well. Hostels are also big enough for living. Mess is also good as compared to the other NIT's.
All the professors are Phd holders and have good knowledge in their respective subjects. Academic curriculum is based on credit system .One must fulfill the requirements of credit to get promoted to the next semester.
Placements depends on the branches. But the overall placement is fine above 75 percentage. Training and placement cell work hard to get the students placed. Average package lies between 8 to 10 lacs which can differ on the basis of branch.
The college is small, but all necessary features are packed within the campus. Classroom are modern style , hostel are shared from 1st to 3rd year and single room in final year. Food and mess are ok for 2nd and 3rd year And slightly better for 1st and final year students
I'm studying mechanical engineering and currently in third year. The teachers are similar like any other government college. Each semester you get 1 teacher who is good and rest are just completing their duty. From last year the academic curriculum has changed a lot and is improved a lot.
The placement is the key highlight of the college , especially for the core branches like civil and mechanical. In mechanical last year 100 percent placement was there with an average of 8 lpa.highest package was about 40 lpa from ECE department. Placement is easy and the TPO is supportive.
The fees is similar to all the NITs .It's cost about 2 lakhs per year .and there is scholarship based on income of the student. With the kind of placement it's totally worth the money But in terms of college life ot lacks a lot So its only satisfactory in terms of value for money
Campus Life is very bad the college a lot of restrictions are there in both boys and girls. There are lot of guards who poke there nose always.the college provides very less facilities for sports and all .
If you want to study more and enjoy less this is and this is your best shot according to your rank in JEE than its fine but if you want a better college life it's not for you. The crowd of the college is not also good as the home State students are mostly pathetic in terms of academic and all.
Very good infrastructure with sufficient amount of hostels, lecture theatres and library together with study room.New lecture theatres are also constructing and the greenery is very good. Good number of canteen present
All the professors are very supportive and wise to the students and the support in your progress. All of the professors are good mentors too and all have brilliant teaching skills and good placement in college
Placements are excellent and currently mechanical has 100 percentage of placement. It has nice and appreciable placements in core with a good package and it has satisfying placement percentage in all branches.
If you are planning to go to college don't worry you will get good atmosphere and supporting professors so beautiful chill.
Campus Life is awesome but as it is far from city main so we need to travel a lot. Inside the college no. Of canteens available so that is something good
College infrastructure is good, mostly there are new buildings and some are in development stage and fully Air conditioned Lecture Halls. There are proper sports facilities and there is proper 4indoor Badminton court in gymnasium hall.
On the academic perspective, professors are good after 1st year because there are from our own branch, in first year it can vary some are good. Exams depend on professors mostly, some are really tough but If you listen to professor in class and just study regularly for minimum time you can get good grades.
Placements are decent and mostly from our branch companies do come in the core sector. In IT sector companies are less and obviously if you are good in coding or whatever skills you have you will be placed it's not like you will get nothing.
Campus Life is good. All buildings are near. Good clubs are there and fests are good. Good Canteens are there -night canteen and snackers.
Hello,
If you compare NIT Jalandhar and PEC Chandighar in your mentioned department, PEC Chandighar in CSE Data Science will emerge as the winner. While both of these are reputable institutions, the PEC Chandighar has better placement records. So, if you want a better faculty and interest in data science, you can go for the PEC Chandighar.
I hope it resolves your query!!
Hello Aspirant,
When evaluating NIT Jalandhar's B.Tech in CSE vs IIIT Gwalior's Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in IT, both are built upon but cater to specific needs. NIT Jalandhar has a 4 year core Computer Science programme that offers the NIT brand value and flexibility seeing as the student has complete freedom to choose what to do in 4 years ie jobs vs higher studies vs another field.
On the other hand, IIIT Gwalior offers a 5 year integrated IT programme (similar to B.Tech + M.Tech) to students who want to make a long term commitment to tech and prefer to have a strong academic continuity and good placements. Although both institutions are similar in terms of their placement packages offered in the software domain, most probably students at NIT Jalandhar want to follow tech path while still keeping other options open and brand recognition and positive association, while students at IIIT Gwalior probably want the complete all in one tech journey.
Hello!
So based on your rank 5000 in JEE Mains and you are from Punjab you have some chances of getting NITJ branches like mechanical civil, chemical or biotechnology but in the later rounds as SC category seats also closed early.
As your SC rank is around 5000 your CRL can be anywhere between 1,20,000 to 1,60,000, depending on your marks.
