Further if we talk about placement then many companies visit the college for placements and adding on to it, the DSP nearby provides a huge advantage to the students in terms of the placements. The students are offered decent pay packages, and the college records a good average and top pay packages.

National Institute of Technology Raipur is an engineering and research institution located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. Founded in 1956 with two engineering disciplines, Mining and metallurgy, it is one of the oldest institute in National Institutes of Technology system. IIEST Shibpur is far better college than NIT Raipur. As per NIRF Ranking, 2020, NIT Raipur stands at 61st position whereas IIEST Shibpur stands at 21st position.

In the terms of placements, by a notch IIEST Shibpur is better than NIT Raipur, especially for the CSE, ECE, EEE Branches. IIEST Shibpur is famous for Aeronautical and Aerospace branches of engineering.

Comparing both the Institutes there's no doubt that IIEST has an upper hand compared to NIT Raipur.

In NIT Raipur around 60-80 students get placed in ECE department. The average Salary being around 6 lacs. The Major recruiting companies are basically software companies. Very few core companies visit the campus.

In IIEST Shibpur IT department was the Highest recruited department in 2019. The percentage of students getting placed is around 88% in IT department. The average salary package is around 5 lakhs.

NIT does have brand value but IIEST is no less. It has a NIRF ranking better than that of NIT Raipur and the placement chances of IT department is better than that of ECE. Also you should choose the department which you have the most interest in. If you're interested in ECE then go for NIT and if you're interested in IT then go for IIEST. Both the institutes are really nice and guarantee a decent chance during placements.

Here both the branches are totally different with various and number of scopes and oppurtunities. So first of all you have to decide which stream you want to pursue. But NIT Nagpur is much better than the other and NITs also have the option for upgrading of their branch at the end of their first year if the requirements are fulfilled.

So in my opinion NIT Nagpur will be a better option.

Both the branches EEE and ECE are good career choices and have great scope and opportunities. But if compared between the both NITS Nagpur and Raipur, NIT Nagpur is far better than NIT Raipur in terms of college facilities, infrastructure, faculty, academics and placements. So I would recommend you EEE in NIT Nagpur.

Dear aspirant, you should choose the branch as per your area of interest. If you like CSE, go for it otherwise you can choose bio medical if you have interest in it. Coming to college, NIT Raipur offers great placements. Last year average package was 5.40Lpa and highest package was above 11.30 LPA. It possesses 30% of biology and 70% of electronic and instrumentation. BIT durg offered 12.7 LPA package to 8 students. 100% placement is guaranteed to CSE students and average salary is of 6LPA.
