If your CRL is not more than 1,00,000 and it lies in within the range of 80,000 to 100,000 you can get both Metallurgy and Mining Engineering at NIT Raipur..
Now coming to the question..the closing rank mainly depends on the seats in the department.So if they decide to increase the intake.. the closing rank may also increase as a result of it.

For home state domicile holding students Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at NIT Raipur closes at around 25,000 CRL
Now since the cutoff changes every year..so does rank vs marks. So to secure a CSE seat in NIT Raipur you should target getting into top 25,000 in JEE mains

If you are a GEN category student and don't have a home domicile..it can be difficult to get NIT Raipur in general rounds of counseling
However if you are lucky enough..you can get some of the lower departments in NIT Raipur during the spot round..if it happens.

If you are getting NITs then you should probably choose in between the NITs
VIT is no where in comparison to the NITs as it is a private college.
If you are getting NIT Bhopal I would suggest you should take that option.

With OBC NCL rank of 12700, according to 2018 cutoffs of NIT Raipur, you can get Biomedical engineering whose closing rank was 34293, you can get Biotechnology engineering whose closing rank was 30866, you can also get Chemical engineering whose closing rank was 24123, you can get Civil engineering whose closing rank was 18689, electronics and telecommunications engineering whose closing rank was 19495, information engineering was 21047, metallurgical engineering whose closing rank was 26977, mining engineering whose closing rank was 23728. These are the data of year 2018 for your estimation.

Both are good colleges as per the fields. It depends on you what u like more, architecture or engineering.
You can get B.Arch admission through counseling.
You have to wait till the announcement for the counseling any fill your choices according to your preferences.

Hey Vidhi!!! Please try and get my point clearly. These two courses i.e. B.E and B. arch are totally different courses. You must be clear about what you want to pursue. Take up any of the course which you like the most. If you are good at designing, then go for B.arch and if you are interested in pure engineering, then go for B.E. College will not matter in this case as the stream or sector is totally different.
If you want a suggestion for the best college between these two, then I will suggest you NIT Raipur, as it is a much renowned college and a college of national importance too.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of NIT Raipur College is decent; being situated in the city, the campus area is not extensive. The classrooms and labs are well-equipped with Wi-Fi, and other amenities are appropriately arranged. There are 7 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels. The mess and canteen facilities are effectively utilized. Sports and game facilities are exceptional.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure as compared to other NITs is pretty low. There is only one main building and one building for architecture. There are boy hostels only for B.Tech. and limited seats in girls hostel for Masters. The main building has access to everything, including library, labs, etc.

There is a huge campus. There are many fields like Athletics ground, football ground, swimming pool of 10 feets. The college has all the necessary facilities. There was canteen also and which was very hygienic.
