After getting MAT score card, participating institutes those are interested in your profile, will reach you by mail or contact and will send you prospectus and application form.
After applying to your preferred colleges, a cut-off list will be prepared followed by Group Discussion, Written Test(By some institutes only), then Personal Interview. Then you will finally get admission in one of the colleges.

Overall Placements are 95+ percent and Average Salary is 9LPA on average.
The cutoffs for MAT has been 600+/800.

As there is nothing mentioned for Gate 2018 cut off but as per previous year information the score for Construction Technology and Management was 666 - 714 (General) in NIT, Warangal.

As concerned with Mechanical engineering, NIT Warangal ranks better than NIT Rourkela.
The college being established in 1959, situated near Hyderabad region has legacy brand.
Mechanical being its core branch, the dedicated Placements cell has brought in some top recruiters like Schlumberger, Vedanta , Bajaj, Maruti, IOCL, Daimler Chrysler, Fedex, Hero, Relaince, Aditya Birla Group, TAS, BPCL for core manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Production Metallurgy and designing roles.
Average oackage observed for Mechanical is 7 LPa with highest as 22 LPA and 95% placements ratio.
Coming to NIT Rourkela, the placement cell classifies companies into Dream, super dream and Normal categories, with restrictions of having atmost 3 offers.
This disallows multiple offers.
Some topcmapnies like Tata Motors, General motors, ITC, Mahindra, JSW are frequent recruiters.
However, avsrgae package is lower to NIT Warangal, over here average observed at 6LPA with 80% placements.
In our opinion, Warangal has sheer edge over RRourkela for mechanical engineering.

College Infrastructure
NIT Warangal has one of the best-maintained campuses among NITs, spread over 250+ acres. Academic blocks, hostels, and labs are modern and well-equipped. The library is large, digitized, and open till late hours. High-speed Wi-Fi is available campus-wide. Sports grounds, gymnasiums, and a medical center add to the facilities.

College Infrastructure
NIT Warangal features a large, lush green campus with excellent infrastructure. Academic blocks are modern, and labs are equipped with cutting-edge technology. Hostels are clean, secure, and have high-speed internet. The central library is vast and supports both physical and digital learning. Sports and recreational facilities are extensive.

College Infrastructure
NIT Warangal boasts one of the best infrastructures among NITs. The campus is large, green, and well-maintained. Classrooms, lecture halls, and labs are modern and fully equipped. Hostels are spacious with Wi-Fi and all basic facilities. The central library and sports complex are top-notch.
