Select NIT Trichy over NIT Warangal as far as MTech Industrial Metallurgy is concerned. NIT Trichy apart from having one of the best Metallurgy Departments in South India after IIT Madras and IIT Hyderabad having strong faculty, infrastructure as well as career scope and job prospects, being located near Industrial and Manufacturing Hubs of Tamil Nadu. There are many Top Companies for Placements including Tata Motors, JSW, AM/NS, Sundaram Fasteners, SKF, TVS, Ashok Leyland, Airbus and many other Companies. Apart from this you may even apply for Public Research Sectors and PSUs including BARC, DRDO, HAL, SAIL, RINL, NALCO, CSIR NML, ISRO and many others. Many even pursue PhD in Metallurgy/MSE/Materials Engineering from highers technical Institutes in India like Top IITs, IISc or Universities Abroad.

Hello,

National Institute of Technology, Warangal does not offer Automobile Engineering. It offers the following courses

  • Bio-Technology
  • Civil Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

To get admission in NIT, Warangal you need to score minimum 98 percentile or above in JEE Main. Cut off depends on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. It may increase or decrease depending on these factors.

In terms of college infrastructure and reputation all the three are very good. But see if you wish to go for Physics then you should be very clear that IIT Bombay or any IIT don't have same kind of placement as that of Engineering. The institute can give you amazing research experience or can give you exposure to foreign university for your research but as Physics is not an industrial course directly you don't expect jobs as Engineering but yeah! its true that there are placements in IIT bombay for different colleges/ coaching institution etc. Although if you can build your coding skills great then you can also expect a good salaried job in IT's.

Now Among CSE and EEE its better to go for CSE because CSE have better offers in terms of packages and park where as most EEE graduates have to work in IT companies as the core jobs are less. Apart from this NIT Warangal have less course fees and the placements in quite good so as per my opinnion CSE will be a better choice.

Hello Dear,

According to you, you got 57 percentile  in JEE Mains 2021 then your  rank would be around 439890 - 494500 . You are belonging OBCL-NCl PWD category then you have OBC-NCL PWD category quota. There is minimum chance to get admission in NIT Warangal or any NITs for any branch.

Hello Aspirant,

See till now NTA has not released the total numbers of PwD candidates appeared for JEE-Main 2021 so it is little bit difficult to predict your category rank.

But as we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing OBC PwD rank was 24 for Computer Science Engineering branch in NIT Warangal under Other state quota and 8 under Home state quota for OBC PwD category.

If you want to secure seat in CSE branch in NIT Warangal then you should have your OBC PwD rank under 20 and if you belongs to Telangana then you should get your OBC PwD rank under 6.

Hey,
The official cutoff for NIT Warangal is not out yet. So,  you can check the previous year's JEE Main cutoff of NIT Warangal for an idea. Last year's cutoff for all branches in NIT WARANGAL for female candidate is as follows:
  • Chemical Engineering - 8234
  • Civil Engineering - 4282
  • Electrical Engineering - 8223
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering - 6144
  • Computer Science Engineering - 8780
  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering - 7604
  • Biotechnology Engineering - 3833

These are for 2020, for other year's cutoff you can refer the link mentioned:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-warangal/amp

With a Percentile of 96.8 in JEE Main, you have fair chances of securing a CRL anywhere between 35-37k, with a OBC Rank anywhere around 8k. Being from Female Quota, assuming youre not from Telangana Home State, you have fair chances of securing a seat in either Civil, Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering at NIT Warangal. In case youre from Telangana Home State, you have excellent chances of securing NIT Warangal.

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you as you have not mentioned about the name of the category you are talking about so nothing can be said. You should certainly mention about the name of the category  then only required information can be shared.

Hope you found this answer useful.Stay motivated stay positive.

All the best!

Hi

Your profile suggests that your home state is Telangana so eligible for home state quota in NIT Warangal

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in nit as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for general category  closing rank for gender neutral for home state in nit warangal was 32156 rank and it was for Bio Technology (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

And to get around  32156 rank , you need at least around 97.2 percentile as per predictor at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So, you must target at least 97.2 percentile for nit warangal under home state

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
