Dear student,

As you have secured 200000 crl rank in jee mains from st category, then there is no chance that you can get nit warangal.
Even if you belong fron home state quota, then also you cannot get any seat in nit Warangal as per seeing last year cutoff trends.

Last year the highest cutoff closing rank in csab counseling for nit Warangal for st category students from home state quota, on the basis of their crl ranks was - 160959 (for biotechnology from gender neutral gender category ) and 98466 ( for biotechnology from female gender category ).

So, there is no chance that you can get nit warangal even in csab counseling.

Also check out the following link to know more about csab special round counselling and the previous year cutoff Trends ( note that all the mentioned ranks are CRL rank not category wise ranks ) :-

As cut-offs for this year is not declared yet so we can guide you on the basis of previous year's cut-offs which are given below :-

Mechanical engineering - 11356 was the closing rank in 2019

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

However I would recommend you to use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict the chances of your admission in different colleges  based upon your percentile and category :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hello there,

If you have no specific interest in either of these two branches then you must choose a college with low fees and high placement from these two.

NIT Nagpur : The total fees for mechanical engineering is around 5.5 lakhs for the whole course. Placements are good. About 60% of the students got placed . The highest package was around 10 LPA while the lowest was around 4 LPA. And average package was of 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ExxonMobil and Bajaj auto.

NIT Wanargal : The total fees for Civil Engineering is around 5.34 lakhs for the whole course. Placements are nice. The highest salary package offered was about 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 7 LPA.

Hope this helps.

Dear Student,

ECE does coding in its syllabus as well, but it is not sufficient, all the required models for coding are taught in CSE.

However when it comes to the above two institutions, when it comes to academics, both the institutions, NIT Warangwal and NIT Trichy, both have extremely well educated teachers, who are not only good with their subjects but is also very knowledgeable with all the new developments in their respective fields. There is no doubt that whichever institution you join, your education is in good hands.

With respect to placements, at NIT Warangwal, the placement department gives all the required training for the recruitment tests and the median packages offered is INR 9.01 lakhs. At NIT Trichy, the placements are very smooth running and the placement department provides all the required training as well, with the median package offered is INR 9 lakhs.

For further details on the institutions, kindly visit the link given below, to give you a more clear idea.

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the two branches of these colleges which is metallurgy and ece.

I would personally recommend you to go for nit Warangal metallurgy and the average package for this branch is 7.2 L which is quite impressive for a core branch.

Whereas IIIT kancheepuram ece has not any out of the box placements.

Hey Aspirant,

EEE at nit warangal is the better option. ECE MNNIT may not be preferable due to:-

  1. Lack of quality faculty in ECE . It has the worst faculties among any branch
  2. Most of the laboratories are obsolete and in dilapidated condition. Half of the instruments don't function
  3. If u seek a core ECE job , MNNIT may not be the best place for u.. Most ECE grads end up taking an it job (due to better pay and paucity of core jobs)
  4. Since very few core companies visit the campus , u have to be super intelligent to make the most of the handful opportunities available.

All the best!!!

Hello potharajukalpana8,

Well, As per the stats of placements, the placement of NIT patna ECE ranged from 3.8-5.8 Lpa with around 70% students placed, and for NIT Warangal Chemical around 89% students were placed and highest package was 25lpa with an average of around 8lpa, So clearly as per the placements NIT Warangal is better, also in ranking, academics, and college life, But....

Ece is an evergreen branch with enormous no. of job opportunities....

So choose wisely...

Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any further query....

Hello aspirant,

Since I have researched for over 10+ years on Indian engineering curriculum hence I have an accurate answer to this question.

MNIT-Jaipur and NIT-Jalandhar are tier-3 Indian engineering colleges hence most of the degree holders from such colleges have to become employees in the services based companies. 3–4 LPA.

None of these colleges have any reputation in the industry.

NIT Warangal with no doubt is best among all the other options you have mentioned.

I may not be correct according to its infrastructure and all but yes in academics and placement point of view it is highly recommended.

Hope it helps!

Hello Aspirant,

Both the colleges are great but when it comes to branches ECE and EEE both have a wide scope of opportunities so one needs to analyze his field of interest before opting for either of the branches. Also according to the data the requirement for ECE engineers is increasing yearly as compared to EEE engineers. Also an average ECE Engineer may earn around 3.5LPA. So seeing to this as a great scope you can join ECE branch in MNIT Jaipur.

Also MNIT Jaipur has a great placement record for students so you may also get placed into famous companies as many famous companies often visit the campus for recruitments.

Hope this helps

Good Luck

Hello,

NITW is a much better and more established institute than NIT AP, which was very recently conceived, after the partition of Telangana and Andhra. NIT AP does not hold the same weight in placement statistics owing to its nascent faculty and curriculum and also due to its remote location. This is applicable to CSE as well.

Chemical Engineering is a core branch, and if you have even an inkling of interest, it can take you to amazing places in future, especially abroad where the scope in huge. NITW Chem Engg is one of the top branches in the college, and the placement statistics are really commendable even when compared to CSE or ECE. Remember, companies like ITC, HPCL, BPCL etc., specifically visit the campus for core branches and even the pay is quite hefty.

Also, just being a Chem Engg student doesn’t imply you cannot sit for IT companies. If your zone of interest lies is coding or software, you will get ample of time in your four years to hone your coding skills and apply in IT companies, though I wouldn’t insist on making this your goal as it might cause you to slip up in your own branch.

The choice is eventually yours to make, however, I must state again that NIT AP doesn’t hold any weight when compared to NITW.

Good luck!
