In every B Tech colleges there is a marking scheme known as continuous evaluation which is your internal marks. This may contain exams, assignments, projects, presentations, class tests etc. This along with your laboratory assessment will constitute 40% of your final marks. Also, the scheme of continuous evaluation varies with faculty and subjects.

As per my knowledge every university has their own pattern for conductance of class tests. In Nirma University class tests are of 30 marks with few chapters coming in the exams.The questions are not from outside ,they will ask whatever they have taught.So , you should score good marks to be on safer side.Moreover coming to your question class test may occur 2 in a single day only so its not about one test or two test in a week. It depends on the faculties designing the question papers and also the staffs conducting the test.So if you will be preparing in last minutes then it will be difficult for you.So learn side by side with your every day class. It will not give lot of impact on your final semester scores.

There is 40% weightage of continuous Evaluation(CE) in final result.

CE consists following things

1) scores of classtest and mid sem

2) score of innovative assignment in perticular subject.

Based on above 2 your score will create out of 100. And then will convert into 40 to add in final result.

You should not worry much about the load and pressure given by the faculty at nirma university as the faculty there is strict though, yet supportive and understanding at the same time. They understand that students are responsible enough to not be pressurized with anything. Obviously they will expect timely assignment submissions and good results from you , but they aren't going to force you for it. They need to be strict with the students who are not responsible themselves , so it much depends on you.

Like in first semester , you will have the following subjects;

Both the colleges are good but branches matter a lot when it comes to placement and in my personal opinion, instrumentation and control engineering is not a good choice.So, you should go for Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering as it is one of the premier engineering college and offers great placement too and also electronics and communication engineering is a good branch to get a placement.

Nirma university is a deemed university.So it has its own rules and protocol.As it is mentioned in their protocol that if your cgpa after your second semester is above 9 then you are eligibile to change the branch but it also depends on the number of students who are willing to change the branch.If a student having more cgpa than you then he/she will get first preference.

see cutoff score changes year to year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of stream etc. however as per previous years records of closing ranks you have decent chances for nirma university in civil engineering.

I think it will depend on the number of students taking admission.

As of 2019 data, students with 207 got admission in CSE.

As of 2016, it was 521.

No intermediate data is available. But this trend generally varies.

I think there is a good chance that you may get admission in CS.

Hello Tirth Joshi , College provides a good package for higher-level education. About 60% of the students get placements in their dream company. The average salary package offered is 5.7 LPA. The highest salary package offered in the mechanical branch is 12 LPA.
