Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur was established in 2005. It offers B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, M.Des, and Ph.D. courses. There is no any official information about the opening of the center and it is tentatively open from July 2021. But with the permission of MP government. It is the prerogative of state government to open school and college after the wave of pandemic COVID 19. For more information you can contact to the concern authority of IITDMJ.

It offers B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, M.Des, and Ph.D. under different specializations.Placement with the highest package reached the mark of 22 LPA. 1. NIT Calicut

Chemical Engineering has an average package of 7.9 LPA and 81.82% of students were placed. You can read peer reviews about NIT Calicut at THIS PAGE .

1. IIITDM

According to placement stats, things don’t look too well here even in popular branch such as ECE. According to annual report of 2019, given on IIITDM Website, only 17 students were placed, highest package being 6 LPA. You can also read the peer reviews at THIS PAGE .

I believe ECE at IIITDM Kancheepuram would be a better choice than IIITDM Jabalpur mainly because of its huge locational advantage. Being located in Chennai and near IT and Inustrial hubs at Chennai, Madurai as well as Bengaluru and Hyderabad provide huge impetus to training and placement prospects. Top companies like TVS, Saint Gobain, Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, Qualcomm and many others make their footfalls on campus. Besides excellent employer outlook, IIITDM Kancheepuram also has good infrastructure, faculty and research facilities.

There will be several companies visiting your campus for placement recruitment and every company has its own eligibility criteria. And most of the companies shortlist candidates based on the percentage in the qualifying exam which is B.Tech in your case. So you need to maintain a decent percentage or CGPA throughout the course. Very few companies might also consider past academic qualification like class 10 and class 12. So do not worry and try to maintain minimum 75-80% each semester, improve your communication skills, aptitude and technical skills. And before applying for any placement check the eligibility as if differs.

I would recommend you to go with IIITDM Jabalpur. The reason being is that IIITDM Jabalpur has better infrastructure, better placement  assistance training programs therefore it's placement is also sounds good then IIITDM Kancheepuram.  All the benefits you will be getting in IIITDM Kancheepuram will be offered to you in IIITDM Jabalpur except fee because fee of IIITDM Jabalpur is also little high as compare to that of IIITDM Kancheepuram. Moreover IIITDM Jabalpur has NIRF ranking of 82 whereas IIITDM Kancheepuram is on 182nd position, which shows that IIITDM Jabalpur is better than IIITDM Kancheepuram.
