Yes, my college has the essential infrastructure and the facilities to support the academics and extracurricular activities. Classrooms are quite spacious, with wi-fi connectivity. Hostels are supervised with 24-hours security and food is hygienic.
I am pursuing BTech in CSE with specialization in cloud computing and automation. I chose this field because cloud technologies, DevOps, and automation are at the core of how modern businesses run in IT infrastructure. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and approachable. The curriculum is updated regularly to include the current technologies.
The quality of placements in out college is decent. In 2024, the placement was 87%, with average package of 11LPA and that year the highest package was 88LPA. In 2023. the placement was 90% with avg package of 9 LPA and highest package of 1 cr. The placement process was decent and quite exausted.
My course per year tuition fees is 1.9 lakhs. Yes, overall I do feel I'm getting my money's worth as they have practical, industry-oriented curriculum, good placement support and outcomes, good infra and exposure, networking and brand.
The university is 300+ acres of land, with lots of greenery, trees and open spaces. There are many clubs, there is 24x7 security service and medical facilities. The campus is located on the Bhopal-Indore Highway so it is somewhat away from the city.
Infrastructure of vit bhopal is still under development just like other campuses, there are two academic blocks and a total of 8 blocks in boys hostel and 3 girls hostel. the mess infrastructure is good along with girls mess also.
academics of vit bhopal university is great, it has caltech learning along with ffcs which means fully flexible credit system. it means that the students have their own choice of teachers and slots as per students' choice.
College placements is good as there is centralised placement with vit vellore, all the four campuses have placements together and this is good thing. recently highest package was 58lakh in zomato, from this campus.
good value for money in this college, you get good food and good teachers. the students here has to make their way out on their own. just like other colleges here the teacher are helpful in all the things, they help in projects also.
over all the campus life of this college is good, you get to interact with seniors as well as the alumini which helps in all the things like skill development and also placements. it is also helpful in many ways.
VIT Bhopal is an expanding university that provides a blend of opportunities and challenges. The campus is new, well-maintained, and situated far from the city, which provides it with a serene atmosphere but also restricts access to city life in some way.
Achademically, there are quite a number of programs on offer, with major areas of specialization in advanced fields such as AI, Cybersecurity, Gaming Technology, and Data Science. The course is industry-focused and adaptive, enabling students to try their hand at subjects outside their core branch.
Faculty members are supportive and competent in general, though like any other institution, the quality is departmental. The focus on Project-Based Learning (PBL) is an area of strength that enables students to acquire problem-solving and team skills right from the start.
Students like the hands-on approach through projects, hackathons, and integration with companies. okay value, but should not expect more. no good food, below average faculty , they say that youtube teacher teaches wrong for views.
Campus life is lively with clubs, cultural events, and technical fests. The student population is cosmopolitan with classmates from all over India and other nations, which aids confidence building and networking.
poor infrastructure, they tend to build everything in an entire building, the architecture is not so good and the planning is very bad. there are very big classrooms but no ac. this makes very difficult to attend 2 hrs class.
again this is also not so good as most of the teachers just read from the slides and dont tend to share extra knowledge in the class room, they solve very easy questions and ask tough questions in exams.
Centralised placements with vit vellore is more a curse than boon to this college, it becomes very difficult for the students to get through the initial rounds of shortlisting and then being eligible.
value for money is okay, as they charge so much and facilities are not so good, everything here costs money and that too very much money which is not easy for middle class people to pay. this is major drawback.
decent campus life as the students who tend to join clubs and have a boot licking nature go along with their peers well, so they enjoy a good campus life in this university. but for others it is not that easy.
The infrastructure is good and somewhat better than many colleges in India. Considering the fact that this college was established in 2017 you won't feel that at any point. Still some construction is done every now and then to ensure all the missing facilities are also brought as soon as possible. The classrooms , labs , libraries , sports centres and hostels all are well maintained and made available to the students. The wi-fi sometimes doesn't work properly but it is a temporary issue. The food is also good.
As I'm pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a Specialisation in Cloud Computing and Automation , I can surely tell that most the faculties here are very good in terms of their teaching style and approach. All the faculties have done their P.hd then only they get to teach the students which is a plus. The curriculum is to the point and also all the major points are included in the same. For sure it makes you job ready if you focus and do your job properly.
The placements scenario is totally dependent on you. How you perform in your 4 years of academics will decide your placements. As the placements are centralised , you may not get chances in the top companies due to the high number of students if you're an average student but if you maintain a cgpa around 9-9.2 you'll surely get chance to sit in most of the companies. The average salary is around 6-7 LPA. The placements process is like you're are forced to do things which will be beneficial for you for sure. Around 60-70% students get placed based on their performance. The highest salary this year was 56 LPA which was offered to a student of Integrated M.Tech.
With respect to all the private engineering colleges in India , VIT Bhopal will be considered as one of the most cheapest options for engineering. If you excel in academics , for sure you'll get you return of investment in a very short span of time. It costed me around 3 - 3.5 lacs per year including all the academics , hostel and mess charges.
The campus life is average here in normal days as there are many students in the campus which cause somewhat chaos in the campus. But during the time of fests and annual events , the college campus is the best place to enjoy with you friends. You'll feel every and every moment in those days. The location is somewhat remote , you wouldn't get all the facilities which you could get in a college located in a metro city or any urban location but it is not the worst. Bhopal is the nearest city where you can reach in 45mins - 60 mins.
construction is a never ending story here in vit bhopal, everywhere there is dust, soil and problems that doesnt let you move. small libraries with almost no books to read, meaningful books are very less to be found here,
Average academics because, the teachers are just tagged as PHD, most of them dont know how to express their knowledge but again most iof them are very knowledgable and provide with good teaching style, even they make the students understand well.
the placement here is below average, because every year around 2000 students register for placements, 50% withdraw from it by the end of october and the rest 50% tries to get shortlisted as it is very difficult to stand a chance amongst the high scorers.
Kind of poor value for money because the college is more or less expensive, the food is okay okay but the quantity they provide in food is not good, they dont give good amount of chicken or paneer, even the money that they take for tuition fees, they dont teach upto that level.
Not too good campus life here, because of the very important thing which is that the college doesnt allow the students to roam around after 8.30, every one is packed in their rooms and it becomes difficult to survive there.
the infrastructure is not soo good of this college as it is basically about the construction that goes around everytime and. doesnt really stop. the wifi also doesnt work all the time and if you talk about the internet , even that is worse.
it has a CALTECH and FFCS type thing that gives you an advantage to choose your own faculties and slots, but again even that is ragged as these things are somewhat based on your attendance and marks that you get.
Placements here are somewhat not soo good, only a few students get good offers and most of them are not really shortlisted for tests of certain companies, the important factor is about its number of students that get enrolled every year and due to this the placement gets affected that is why most of them end up getting placed in mass recuriters.
Value for money is not so much provided as it is an expensive college and you get absolute zero return, first thing is the extensive walking all the time to the academic block and this is really frustrating. you pay for good food and in return you get is just anything that is tasteless, and nutrition less, people even fall sick after having these foods, chicken is given only two pieces and not more, this doesn't even fulfill the 100gm criteria.
This college has some bad things and this is one of the worst things, it doesnt have a college life as everythings shuts by 6pm for girls and 8.30 for boys, the cafeteria doesnt allow to dine in after 7.30 and parcels everything ordered after 7.30, and also the fests are run by our money, college takes so much money to attend the events and also imposes restriction on it.
If you have no option available, then you should come other wise go somewhere else.
The college is continuously building since I came here and it could have been a lot better. The buildings are under construction for over a period of more than 7 years. There is everyday construction here
Most of rhe subjects are taught but mostly in theory and no practical knowledge is provided by the faculties, no use cases nothing. Also it becomes difficult to understand what is the practical use of these things
Although many companies including the top ones come but the criteria of maintaining very high CGPA for being eligible is not good especially at Bhopal and AP CAMPUS..I beleive equal opportunities should be given to Bhopal and AP or they should have their own placement cell which isn't related to Chennai and Vellore Campus
The academic fees is okay for a private college but the hostel and food fee is high as compared to the facilities provided also there is absolutely zero value of money because what they take is not what they provide
Too much people and ruckus and it's difficult to find your chill spot other than your room if you want to have a off time or self evaluating time, no senior junior interaction, no time to talk to your friends also they don't allow to go to other blocks
Decent choice if you are proactive and independent.you”ll get a recognized degree and access to great placement system.Just be aware of the challenges as the college is still under development and understand that you will need to work hard the most in order to avail all the opportunities present in this college.
FFCS system is the best in academics as it allows us to choose our own timetable and faculty professors but it can lead to hedonism since there are some professors who are brilliant in there own domains so choosing can be a lot of difficult
Great placement system as it is centralised making the companies from all the four campuses in a joint venture .students must maintain higher cgpa in order to be best from the rest and to have a short listing in top tier companies
Great fests whether cultural or technical but as mentioned above since the college is still growing sometimes student can feel isolated.

Yes, but demand hard work in order to stand out from other students
Students can participate in various clubs, events, and activities that cater to their academic, technical, and recreational interests.
Hello,
Yes, VIT Bhopal is offline for the batch of 2022-23. Since the Government gave the order of startinf the classes for Colleges as well in offline mode in January, the classes for all the batches were started as offline mode. The online classes were still on for few months as some of the students were still in the red zone areas such as Maharashtra but since March, every college was opened in India.
VIT, Bhopal also continued their offline classes in January.
I hope this helps,
All the best
