Yeah the college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The laboratories are well equipped and the libraries are massive and so are the sport facilities provided by the university
I graduated in 2021.I completed my Btech in 2021 in mechanical engineering. The quality of teaching is very good and the curriculum us updated and includes all the recent developments. They even make us do a lot of practicals and we have a lot of hands on experience
The quality of placements of mechanical aren't that great but the overall placements in the campus of cse, ece, eee are very good and students get pretty good job offers from very high companies like Amazon, Mercedes,Intel etc
I came through pessat so i paid 3,20,000 per year. Its higher than what normally what most colleges in Bangalore charge but at the end of the course of 4 years u will realize that the money you invested was worth it
The campus is lovely. But there is a lot of pollution and there isn't even a single tree on campus as all the sites are undergoing construction. There are many clubs the students can join and many activities are organized too
It's fine!!! .its a good college and I'm thoroughly enjoying every moment The food is hygienic and the hostel mess is pretty good too.The whole campus is wifi connected and the libraries are huge and amazing
I'm studying tech mechanical engineering and I had heard very good reviews about this college too.the quality of teaching is very high and the teachers teach with a lot of dedication too .this course definitely makes me industry ready
I'm not sure about the mechanical placements but last year many students were placed from my departments .The seniors told me that the placement cell people are very helpful and guide the students properly throughout the process
It's a bit expensive if u come through PESSAT at around 3,20,000 and through cet the fees is 1,15,000.The fees might be a bit high and at the end of the 4 years it worth spending that much a course from Pes
The teachers are very friendly and amazing people. They encourage students for research activities in various domains and even guide them to achieve better overall performance. The support staff is also pretty good
The college infrastructure is very good and lives up to it's name. With the new block on the horizon and the huge parking lot that was constructed last year make the students life a bit peaceful (u need to pay a small fee for parking)
I'm currently pursuing bba llb integrated from PES UNIVERSITY .Yes I personally feel that the curriculum is regularly updated and even teachers are upto date with the latest syllabus. The curriculum at PES does definitely make you future ready
There usually aren't any placements in my department but if at all it happens it usually in the last semester. As far as I've heard from my seniors..the placement cell of PES was very supportive and it was an easy experience for them
It's been a good 3 years now and I've thoroughly enjoyed the last three years and am looking forward for the next two. The yearly fees for bba llb integrated is 1,80,000 per year and I feel that it is value for money
Campus life has been pretty good and the activities organized by many clubs and college keeps u busy. The teachers at PES are very supportive in every research activity we take part in.The only bad thing about this college is the lack of greenery within the campus
I took part in many cultural events and enjoyed every moment of it
The college does have all the necessary infrastructure and they are even creating a whole new block which will be completed by the end of 2022 which is set to house swimming pool, a race track and huge rooms for various clubs of PES
The quality of education is pretty good. There are 2 CBTs before the main end semester exam. The papers are checked very strictly tho but it's not very tough to get 9 pointers when u join your respective branches and PES even offers a load of scholarships
PES has one of the best placements statistics among all the other universities in not only bangalore but also the whole of India especially the cse branch which is the most sought after branch in PES. Highest salary package offered till now has been around 4000000
I'm thru PESSAT so it cost me 3,20,000
There are a ton of activities that organised every now and then and clubs that the students can join and learn different skills
Overall it is a good college. College lecture timings can be a bit hectic sometimes and u might even have to give up upon many Saturdays of yours
With an 87.5 percentile in JEE Main 2025 , your approximate Common Rank List (CRL) rank would be around 1.3 to 1.5 lakh , depending on the total number of candidates. This rank places you within a competitive range for admission to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at PES University , though securing a seat in the most sought-after campuses and programs may be challenging.
PES University offers B.Tech admissions through multiple channels:
PESSAT (PES Scholastic Aptitude Test): The university's own entrance exam.
KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test): For Karnataka domicile students.
JEE Main: For All India candidates.
Management Quota: Direct admission with higher fees.
Based on previous years' data, the JEE Main closing ranks for CSE at PES University are as follows:
2024: Approximately 21,500
2023: Around 426
Given your estimated CRL rank of 1.3 to 1.5 lakh, securing a seat in CSE at PES University through the JEE Main channel may be challenging.
PESSAT: Consider appearing for the PESSAT exam, as it may offer a better chance for admission to CSE.
KCET: If you are a Karnataka domicile student, KCET could be a viable option.
Other Campuses: Explore CSE programs at PES University's other campuses, such as the Electronic City campus, where the competition might be slightly less intense.
Management Quota: As a last resort, the management quota offers direct admission but comes with higher tuition fees.
Apply through multiple channels: Increase your chances by applying through PESSAT, KCET (if eligible), and JEE Main.
Prepare for PESSAT: If you haven't already, consider preparing for and taking the PESSAT exam.
Stay updated: Keep an eye on PES University's official website for the latest information on admission procedures and deadlines.
Hello Bhoomika,
If you love CSE and have a Tier 2 college with CSE at hand, consider it over EC at PES University. PES is a recognized Tier 1.5 college with brilliant infrastructure and industry connections. However, branch matters a lot and since you want core software roles, it has an impact on your opportunities.
But, if you are comfortable switching to CSE-related roles down the line (upskilling or internal branch change), then PES University's reputation and exposure can still provide opportunities in the future. At the end of the day, decide what is more important to you: branch vs brand.
Dear Harshita,
yaa it's a University with like last year highest placement was 65 lpa, total placement offers:- 1500+, total internships:- 1,250+, participating companies: 350+, overall package 18 LPA, with a median around 12-13 LPA. So, all I can say like core branches get good placements and like overall it's a good University.
hope its helps!
thanks
best of luck
