Dear Aspirant

Congratulations on securing a rank near 16000 in SC category in JEE MAIN 2018

With this rank in Jee main you cannot get a seat in Punjab Engineering College even if you are a home state candidate

dear student

M-tech in transportation has vast scope , especially in a developing country like India that too under Modis rule.

Any engineering study which deals with transportation facilities in context of designing, operation or planning comes under transportation engineering.

Designing of transportation facilities includes

  • Pavement designing (in any adverse climate)
  • Airport Pavement design
  • Pedestrian Walkway design

Operational Analysis of transportation facilities includes

  • Rehabilitation of pavements
  • Capacity analysis of transportation facilities
  • LOS analysis of transportation facilities

Planning Analysis of transportation facilities

  • Optimal scheduling of transit system
  • Optimal handling of travel demand (choice making among different travel demand models

Transportation engineering is really a very good specialisation to be taken in mtech.

From your question let me guess you are from a state engg college and if so then doing mtech in NIT will be a good choice both from placement (though a little chance) and teaching (maximum chances occur here) point of view.

hope this helps

All the best!!!

Hi Prince.

With a rank of 25240, you have a good chance of getting a seat in any of the courses in PEC. You may don't need your reservation in some cases. So, inorder to make sure, please go through the cutoff of last year or college predictor.
