In terms of academics, this Institute gives tough competition to others. Being one of the oldest colleges, it has many experienced and highly educated faculties. But placement wise it is not up to the mark. The few companies which come for recruitment, are mostly from IT and Software background. So CSE and IT grabs most of the placement. Andhra University has a good record of placements for students into famous companies and if asked about an approxiate placement package then according to the 2019 data report the highest salary package offered to an student of IT field was 7 LPA and average salary package a student gets ranges between 3.5-5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include DRDO, ISRO, Satyam, BARC, TCS, etc.

As per your questions, andhra university has overall good placement packages and around 85 percent of them are got placed in top companies and MNCs as per their officials. As per their officials and reviews they had an average CTC package of 3.6LPA and highest CTC package of in around 12 LPA. Companies like infosys, wipro etc came here for recruitment.

Sorry but I could not find the highest pakage but here is the medium pakage for Electronics and communication engineering in Andhra University offered by Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering college, Bhimavaram is from Rs. 4.31 Lakhs to Rs. 4.67 Lakhs.

EIE- Electronics and instrumentaion engineering primarily focussing on the principles and operations of measuring instruments used in the design and configuration of automated systems less preferred compared to other courses.So, there is less competition in this course.

IST-information science and technology  concerns a large field of knowledge and know-how Multimedia processing , Communication through voice, sound and images, Huge data base access.

Yes, you can join Andhra university in IST course as it include three engineering departments of  Telecommunication Department (TC), Computer Sciences and Engineering Department (IF), Electrical Engineering Department (GE).

AU is the best college in all respects.It has decent placement rates of more than 98% in CSE branch and also one of the best branch in AU.The highest salary package is  16LPA and the average salary package ranges from 3-4LPA.Moreover the college has better infrastructure and offers a good place to study.If you are worried about the syllabus the college offers almost the similar syllabus as that of JNTUK (There are minute differences in syllabus pattern).Faculty members are much better and experienced.
