Hey kiran

You cannot get admission in bits/vit just ob the basis of your board marks.

You should have written the entrance exams for bits or vit.Bitsat or viteee

There is no scope for getting admission for btech just based on board exams,

i suggest that you apply for some other college that is purely based on board scores. Many state universities do just bother about your marks,You have excellent scores so all the best!

Hey

I can vouch for how much better vit, bits or sastra is as compared to shiv nadar university.Vit chennai is extremely good for cse.It is worth joining CSE branch at VIT Chennai. The teachers in the CSE branch are quite average apart from a few who are exceptionally good. Due to the structure of the curriculum, the teacher in class will only introduce to the topic, it is up to you to the degree you wish to learn it. Most of the exam question can be solved through the material in the PPTs that are distributed during the lectures. The SCSE or CSE department currently has a huge focus on carrying out research in the various disciplines of computer science. You could take to a faculty to work under him/her to join their research. The CSE department labs are well equipped with the necessary hardware and software. If you were to join VIT please buy a laptop with decent specification ( those costing around 50–60k) as you will need them immensely in order to do your lab exercise, projects, and digital assignment. All submission are usually made on the intranet.

The city of Chennai will also open doors for you to a large number of opportunities in order to compete in various competition and attend conferences and developer circle meetings of multiple tech giants. You would also have an easy to commute to other parts of the country in comparison to the other campuses.

The campus also has many sports and clubs that you can be a part. The main advantage of the campus is its smaller batch size as compared to the Vellore campus and thus you get to know a lot of your batch mates.

The placement is jointly and commonly held for all campus. As for Batch 2019 more than 600 companies visited the campus for placement. The average placement for the CSE Chennai campus branch was around 7 lakhs.

Hello Srujana.I am afraid to answer you that you wouldn't be able to get admission in any BITS PILANI branch either PILANI,GOA or HYDERABAD inspite of getting 97% in 12th marks. For getting any single degree branch you need to score atleast 280-300 marks and for any dual course you need to have around 230 marks as well. For getting B Pharm. also your marks should have been above 150.

Hey . You must have at least above 250 or 280 to get admission in bits in btech degree for bpharma you need to have above 213 . Hence sorry for saying you can't get admission by scoring 201 as this is the expected cutoff but still .

All the best

Hello!Ashish Javadala

Seeing your score and previous year cuttoff of BITSAT,you seems to have decent chance of getting PILANI campus with good stream.Yiu can get almost all stream except CSE, ELECTICAL in PILANI campus.Chance of getting in BITs is less with this score, your score is close to closing rank for CSE.Placement scenario is good for all campus.Don't worry about it.Also you can secure decent stream in NITs with HS QUOTA.Visit below mention link to know previous year cuttoff OF BITSAT:

GOOD LUCK!

Hello,

As soon as you have cleared BITSAT your score will be the criteria for your branch in the college.

But,  along with this they are having a minimum criteria which everyone must follow that, one's aggregate score in PCM/PCB must be at least 75% along with 60% in each PCM/PCB respectively.

So,  if your 12 grades fall under the above criteria and you have qualified BITSAT, then only you are eligible for B. Tech admissions in BITS.

Hope this will help.

Thanks.

Hello Gurpreet,

As per guidelines of BITS,  after qualifying BITSAT,  your aggregate score in 12th in PCM or PCB should be 75% or above, then you are eligible for admission.

Also, you need to have more than 60% in each subject PCM/PCB respectively.

Kindly,  match your score with above criteria.

Hope this will help.

Thanks

Hi Durga Bhavani Jangala,

The total number of CSE seats in all the three BITS campuses for Bachelors is 380 for Bachelors (BITS Pilani – 120, BITS Goa – 110 and BITS Hyderabad – 150).

So, for BITS Pilani, there are 120 seats for CSE admission.

Hope you get your answer.

Best of luck !!!

Dear Aspirant,

First of all congrats for such a good score. And yes according to the previous year cutoff you can get cse in BITS all campus. But Cutoff vary every year so may be sometimes you may have to opt for different branches but still you will get a good branch in BITS.

For complete cutoff detail you can check the link below

https://www.bitsadmission.com/cutoffscores2018.aspx

Hello,
For admission in BITS, you must have an aggregate of at least 75 percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60 percentage in each of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In case you have appeared for improvement examination, you must give the improvement examination in all the five subjects you appeared for during your CBSE Class 12th boards. If you do not appear for improvement in all the five subjects, you won't be eligible for admission in BITS.
