Leading firms including as Microsoft, DE Shaw, Uber, CISCO, Adobe, and Google were among the top recruiters for BIT Pilani's 2021-22 placement drive. The average package offered in 2022 increased by 6.2 percent when compared to the placement season in 2021. The number of students placed in 2022 increased by 65.25 percent when compared to 2021 placements.

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, offers a full-time three/six-year Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. A Ph.D. programme must last at least three years, including course work, and no more than six years. Extensions beyond the aforementioned restrictions shall be governed by the appropriate sections of the specific Institution's Statute/Ordinance. The BITS Pilani campus in Rajasthan was established with the help of MIT (USA) and was recognised as a university in 1964. In the NIRF 2021, the institute is placed 26th. It is a very good University for proceeding PhD in economics.

I would suggest you to join BITS Pilani for pharmacy. No doubt, the college is expensive but I am assuming that you do not have any financial crisis.

Moreover, the BITS Pilani is the main campus/branch of BITS , so it has best infrastructure facilities including wifi, hygienic food, drinking water, well-equipped labs, library, gym, sports, hostel and mess facilities.

The faculty members of the college are really skilled and knowledgeable, providing good support to the students.

The placement record of BITS Pilani is also better than that of BITS Hydrabad, upto 90-95%.

Depending upon the number of applicants the GATE Score cut off for BITS varies and also depends on the fact how you choose your preference both campus wise and branch wise (for Electronics we have: Micro, Embedded, and Communication) usually PILANI campus cut off is a bit higher, during my counseling time in 2108 it was around 650–700 for BITS Goa, so you can expect higher for Pilani. Nonetheless, you can apply for the BITS HD paper as well since it can help you boost your preference for Campus/ Streamwise.

According to the placement information available on the official website of BITS Pilani, many companies visited the campus for recruitment such as: Evaluserve , Pharmaace Analytics, Bridgei2i, IQVIA, Futures First, Trinity, Viacom 18, Bain & Company, TCG and many more.

The average salary package offered by these companies varied between 5-7 LPA and the highest salary package was 14 LPA by Trinity.

If you were to take my opinion then i would surely choose bit mesra because iiest shibpur is known for its ug b.tech or m.tech course . It's not known for finance.

Whereas Bit mesra bba/mba course is also renowned and is considered to be good in terms of placements ,value for money, academics and a few more.

So, my final advice for you is to choose bit mesra over iiest shibpur.

Only a few other places offer a work integrated management program in logistics similar to BITS. But there exist these options:-

1. Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management. IISWBM – Kolkata

They offer a post graduate diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Management and the applications for this course usually come out around November. The placement record of this institute is good and the fees is reasonable. Fees 70,000 per participant.

2. CII Institute of logistics (Confederation of Indian Industry – Institute of Logistics)

They have sector specific programmes aimed at final year Undergraduate and postgraduate students and working professionals. Apart from that they also offer many online certification courses recognized by industry. They offer these courses in the field of supply chain management, logistics management, Logistics and shipping. They have run the distance education course as well for years now and are well experienced regarding the same.

As per the admission into IITs, NITs or BITS is concerned it is governed by their entrance exam performance and to appear for the exam you need to have at least 50% aggregate. Hence even if you have some poor or bad record of performance then also you can use up your final performance in the entrance exam to score well. And unless you have uncleared backlogs, your performance or admission criteria will not be hampered in any Institution.
