Hello,
Based on your rank , it is hard to get top branch at BIT mesra. It would be better to look out for Core branch options like EEE, ETC or EIE or non technical branch like aeronautical engineering , automobile engineering , chemical engineering , bio medical engineering .... Etc.
If you want to study CSE/IT then you have to look out for government engineering college. Still if you only have reservation category then only it will be helpfull with assurance that you will get CSE branch.
To get precise college options based on your jee mains rank , please use the college predictor :-

Hey aspirant,

Banasthali Vidyapeeth is the largest fully residential women's university in the world, located in Tonk, Rajasthan, located about 80 kilometres from Jaipur. The university is accredited by NAAC. It has a huge campus and good infrastructure too. Facilities like library, sports, bank, post office, hospital etc. all are available on-campus itself. Since the campus is far away from the city, exposure is less. Placements are average too.

Kalinga Institute of Information Technology is a private institute deemed to be a university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was recognized as a 'Institute of Eminence' by MHRD, Govt. of India. In terms of placement, nearly 4,400 jobs were offered by 195 visiting companies like SAP, Amazon etc. Several centres of excellence have also been established at the institute. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology provides various infrastructural facilities to the students and staff such as separate hostels for boys and girls are available inside the campus. KIIT also provides sports facilities laboratories facilities for practical learning facilities, a library and auditorium among other facilities.

If you want to go for a fully residential women's only university, then you can choose Banasthali Vidyapeeth. However, I would suggest you to choose KIIT because of better placements and academics, which is also one of the top private institutes in the country.

Good luck!!
Thank you.

Hello there,

It doesn't really matter which college you're from as long as your engineering fundamentals are clear. I will agree that being IITians or an NITian does give you that initial boost. NIT Rourkela is one of the best college. Placement in chemical engineering is really good out of 65 students approximately 55 students got placed. And as per for BIT Mesra is also same in case of CSE and IT. But I think that mechanical engineering in BIT Mesra don't have much placement . So you should go with NIT Rourkela.

P.S.- It depends on your interest that which branch you want to take. Because you have to give 4years in that branch so you should choose according to your interest because knowledge will help you get a placements.

Good luck!!

Hope this was helpful to you.

All the best for your future.

Dear student,

BIT Mesra Ranchi is government funded Technical Institute and it is a private college but it has its very reputed name all over in India.

If compared to some low NITs then BIT Mesra is very much better than that and the campus of BIT Mesra is also very good with various facilities. Here you will get lot of experienced faculties.

And the average package and placements are also good and its placement are also better than some of the NITs that are low ranked.

But if you talk about some top NIT like NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Rourkela then BIT Mesra doesn't stand a chance against these NITs. Also if comparing the placement records of these top Nits
with BIT Mesra then you should go with the top NIT colleges.

But overall BIT mesra is a private college and always remember that any government college is much better than a private college, no doubt BIT Mesra will give you lot of facilities with very good campus and boasts about very good placements but still if you get into any NIT then you will get a tag of NIT behind your back which will be helpful for getting a job in many companies.

But if you are getting low and it is then you should go with BIT Mesra otherwise go with nits.
