With JEE Main rank 101,571, getting ECE in DAIICT is very hard because their cutoff is much lower, around 12,000. Even with reservations, your rank is higher than their usual cutoff.

You can try other private colleges or state counseling where cutoff ranks are higher. Also, some colleges have management quota but fees are more.

Focus on colleges where your rank fits the cutoff. If you want, I can help find good colleges for your rank.

While admission to BTech programs is mostly determined by your JEE Main rank, your 12th grade science grades are taken into account for eligibility at DAIICT. You must have earned a 12th grade diploma in mathematics, physics, and one of the following subjects: biology, computer science, chemistry, or biotechnology. For the All India category, there is no minimum percentage needed, although passing the 12th grade is a requirement for admission.

DAIICT Gandhinagar's expected JEE Main cutoff for 2025 will likely be similar to previous years, with a general closing home state rank of 300 for B.Tech Electronics and VLSI Design, 140 for B.Tech Information and Communication Technology, and 100 for B.Tech ICT with Minor in Computational Science and B.Tech Mathematics and Computing. For ST and SC categories, the cutoff ranks are expected to be higher, with examples like 903923 and 901150 for B.Tech (Hons.) in Information and Communication Technology with minor in Computational Science.

For DAIICT Gandhinagar's ICT branch in 2024, OBC students from Gujarat (Home State) needed a JEE Main rank around 515 or better to get admission. This rank is based on the Common Rank List (CRL). The cutoff changes every year depending on the number of applicants, difficulty of the exam, and seat availability. So, it's always good to aim for a much better rank to stay on the safe side for top branches like ICT at DAIICT.

Hello there,

DAIICT is unlikely with a 64 percentile. However, you have good chances at many other good private colleges for B.Tech CSE.

Focus on researching:

  • VIT, SRM, Amity, Thapar, Shiv Nadar University, LPU, KIIT, Manipal Institute of Technology , and other similar reputable private universities.

  • Look at their specific admission criteria (JEE Main weightage vs. board scores) and previous year cutoffs .

  • Consider appearing for their separate entrance exams if applicable (VITEEE, SRMJEEE, KIITEE, etc.).

Your decent 10th and 12th scores will be beneficial in these colleges. Apply strategically to a range of options.

Hello there,

Admission to DA-IICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology) is based on JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) . While specific percentile cutoffs can vary annually due to factors like exam difficulty and applicant pool, historical data provides some insights:

  • B.Tech. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Closing ranks have been around 139 .

  • B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing (MnC): Closing ranks have been around 80 .

  • B.Tech. in Electronics and VLSI Design (EVD): Closing ranks have been around 290 .

To estimate the required percentile, consider that a JEE Main rank of 10,000 typically corresponds to a percentile of approximately 99 . Therefore, aiming for a percentile of 98 or higher would enhance your chances for admission into these programs.

Hy,

To determine your chances of admission to DAIICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology) with your waitlist numbers, we need to consider a few factors:

1. Understanding Waitlist Numbers:

  • ICT-276: Indicates your waitlist position for the Information and Communication Technology program.
  • MNC-301: For the M.Sc. in Network and Computer Security.
  • ICT Hours-326: Might refer to a specific category or preference within the ICT program.
  • EVD-260: Could relate to another program or category.

2. General Factors Affecting Admission from Waitlist:

  • Number of Open Seats: The primary factor is how many students from the main list choose to accept or decline their offers. If a significant number of students from the main list decline, then the chances of getting admission from the waitlist improve.
  • Previous Years' Trends: Look at previous admission cycles to see how many students typically drop out after the initial admission offers. This can give you an idea of how many students from the waitlist get admitted.
  • Communication from the Institute: DAIICT may communicate with you regarding your waitlist status. Keep an eye on your email and any official announcements from the institute.

3. What You Can Do:

  • Stay Updated: Keep checking the DAIICT admissions portal for updates on the waitlist and any changes in your status.
  • Contact the Admissions Office: If you want clarity on your chances, consider reaching out to the admissions office at DAIICT. They can provide specific information about how many seats are available and the likelihood of movement on the waitlist.
  • Be Prepared: If you do get an admission offer, be ready to respond quickly, as waitlist movements can happen rapidly.
