Hello jagjeet

It will be good if you score more than 95 percentile to get a very good stream and a good IISC. You can easily accomplish this much percentile you just need to study hard and have to study thoroughly.

I hope it helps.

Hello Devwrat,

IISC banglore is one of the top colleges in India, and is even one of the top 100 colleges in the world. To get admitted to it, you have several options. Since you are asking for NEET. The procedure is simple. just appear for the exam(NEET) and crack the cut-off. Although you need to fill a separate admission form of IISC, based on which a separate ranking will be generated and then you will be called for counselling, provided you clear the cut-off. The form will be available online from 1st of February and the last date to fill the form is before 30April.

NEET UG (Appearing in 2019 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)), is the minimum criteria for eligibility for IISC.

No IISC Bangalore does not offer BTech in chemical engineering.

the chemical engineering department at IISC Bangalore offers only 3 courses Mtech, Mtech in research PHD.

For BTech in chemical engineering you can apply to other prestigious colleges some of them are listed below

  • Indian institute of technology Bombay
  • Indian institute of technology Kanpur
  • Indian institute of technology Guwahati
  • Indian institute of technology Delhi
  • Indian institute of technology Madras

Generally, IISc takes students who have secured a rank inside 200 in JEE Main.

For getting such a rank you need to score upwards of 75% marks in JEE Main. Less than that, the chances are negligible.

IISc also takes its students through KVPY and JEE Advanced. You can try for that too.

Hello

No bsc in physics and bsc in astrophysics are both different courses though they are both 3 year undergraduate programmes.

On one hand, B.Sc. Physics comprises of theory and experimental courses mainly from Physics and few interdisciplinary courses like Mathematics Chemistry and Computer Science.

It emphasises on the fundamentals of Physics while introducing modern concepts such as Quantum Mechanics and Relativity proceeding over to Classical Mechanics Electrodynamics taking forward the courses like Electricity and Magnetism Optics and Waves similarly Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics.

On the other hand, bsc astrophysics involves th e study of the physical and chemical properties of celestial bodies and the natural phenomena that occur in the universe.

It is designed to train enrolled students in specializations such as Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Newtonian Dynamics, Waves, Optics, Modern Physics, and pursue an advanced exploration of Atomic, Nuclear and Quantum Physics, Solid State Physics, Relativity, Quantum Physics, Fluid Mechanics etc.

so the fundamentals of both the courses are different and both the courses provide different career opportunities to individuals but they contain some common areas and topics.

hope this helps

Hello,

To be on the safe side, a score of 250+ will fetch a comfortable admission into IISc. IISc is one of the reputed engineering colleges in India, best known for research and Ph.d programmes. IISc Bangalore will take entries of the candidates for BSc research programme on the basis of scores obtained in JEE Main, KVPY and JEE Advanced. Entrance test won't be conducted for admission this year. Cutoff is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. Shortlisted candidates will become eligible for counseling process.

Hello,

Yes, Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore considers the JEE Advanced rank to get admission in it. Besides, if an individual wants to pursue Phd from the institute, then he can submit the research papers there. GATE exam also helps to opt for M. Tech from the college.

College Infrastructure

Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
