You can get an idea of your selection.
In 2018, For SC category-
After Round 3, Cutoff Rank- 8,000
After Spot Round-1, Cutoff Rank- 16,000
After Spot Round-2, Cutoff Rank- 40,000
Hope this helps you.
All the best!!!!
Congrats on securing a great rank Sumanth, with a rank of 3203 any IIT will be possible for you if you don't have a preferred branch or location.
Coming to IIST, it maybe a bit tough because the number of seats is less in that college ( just 140 ) and its a very reputed institute for space enthusiasts.
I suggest you do participate in JoSAA counselling sessions and you will surely end up with an IIT. Best of luck
Hi Selvi
The basic purpose of coaching classes is to give you adequate and appropriate practice material and to make sure you are on the right track as far as the syllabus goes.
If you can ensure on your own that you are thorough with the syllabus and can keep yourself motivated enough to practice throughout the year and can procure the necessary material required for KVPY exam then you do not require coaching.
Just have confidence in your preparation, work hard and efficiently to cover the entire syllabus. Practice a lot mock tests. Keep calm on the day of the exam and you will do fine in the exam.
Hope this helps. All the Best.

Iisc is top ranked science institute IN INDIA. Iisc campus look very natural and have lots of trees and plants. Technical and scientific facilities are advanced level, and have best quality research instruments, and laboratory such as NMR, TEM, FESEM, CROSSMAN me helical testing microCT and duper computer facilities hostels, library and sports facilities also good
Colege infrastructure, facilities and equipments are of top notch . We also have smart classes Best in class Laboratories. And we also have gym and hostels . Only downside is that hostels dont have Wifi.
Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
