IISC Bangalore is a premiere institute in the science and research field. Most of the courses over here encorage research and are oriented that way. 

One such course offered by IISC is BCA. Considering the reputation of the college, BCA from IISC is a very prestigious course and I recommend you to purusue Masters there itself. The admission process for the same wiill begin in the third week of June after the declaration of the intermediate level results!

for JEE ADVANCED lets not go with the cutoffs of the ranks . i will give you the percentages that you need to get to be in a safe zone :

50% of total -definitely a seat in IIT but not preffered group

>60% of total you will be in a position such that you can select the college and branch .

There's only one UG course in IISc: BS (Research) with six subjects for majoring. Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Material Science, Mathematics and Physics.Forensic science course is not available in IISC bangalore. For more details kindly visit

This course suits a person who wish to be the part of data driven organisation.

Some of the companies who have recruited the students include Walmart Labs, Citicorp, Mckinsey and Company, Flipkart, Wipro, Infosys and the list is endless.

Also the average package is INR Rs 16.10 LPA with the maximum package of INR Rs 29.44 LPA which is good enough.

So it is worth pursuing.

The IISc is ahead of the IITs in terms of teaching quality, laboratories, and student quality. No wonder that entry into them is so much harder than just cracking the JEE. However, it is well suited for research. If you’re thinking numbers and salary packages, you’d better go for the IITs.
