I believe you should prefer IIEST Shibpur CSE over IIIT Kota. IIIT Kota is a newer institution compared to IIEST Shibpur and lacks experience in faculty and research. On the other hand IIEST has excellent Infrastructute, Faculty and Research facilities as well as a very good outlook. More than 85% of the CSE Batch is placed annually with a median package of 11-13 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon , Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Goldman Sachs, L&T Infotech, Accolite software, Optum, Cognizant are some of the top recruiters at IIEST CSE.
Besides this a large chunk of IIEST Alumini are settled in the United States and are excellent researchers and professionals. No wonder students get motivated and many pursue their Masters or Doctoral Degree from US or higher technical institutes like IIT or IISc post graduation. IIEST has excellent college culture, competitive peer environment as well as peaceful campus life.

Hi Aspirant!
According to official information provided by Indian Institute of Space Science student can take admission only through the JEE ADVANCED and futher counseling.Hence there is no other way from which you can apply for the admission in Indian Institute of Space Science Trivandrum.
I hope it helps.
As far as Electronics, Aerospace or Avionics courses are concerned, you shouldnt have a doubt on the excellent Faculty, Research Facilities and Infrastructure.
As far as Placement are concerned, ISRO is by large the organization which recruits more than 60% of the IIST Batch each year on basis of merit as well as interview process. So if you have interest in Space Science, Rocket Design and Avionics and want to contribute to public research organizations like ISRO, BARC and DRDO, IIST Trivandrum is the best place.
Otherwise, Placement opportunities at IIST are bleak and the institute doesnt have a proper Placement Cell. However few notable MnCs like Airbus, Boeing, L&T Infotech, TCS, Infosys, Accenture and Wipro do visit the campus and recruit students for IT/Software/Design/Engineering Operations. Many IIST students also move to US universities and Higher Technical Institutes like IISc and Top IITs to pursue their Masters or Doctoral education. All the Best.

Dear Rajesh,
Both IITs and IIST are better than most of the colleges including most of the NITs and IISTs. For me IIST is more academic oriented institute in India in comparative to any other colleges whereas IITs as everybody knows best college in India, actually IITs are best not due to it's academic part but due to the other half of the college life which is missing in IIST.
In my opinion if you are research oriented and you need a better job security then go for IIST and if you want a better job and a better experience of college life then go for IIT.
Good Luck !!!!
Hello!
Though it is not mentioned as mandatory to have a laptop, you will need it for your homeworks, assigments and projects. So if you have a laptop, or can afford one, then its better to take it with you. Otherwise, you need to borrow from fellow classmates and friends. But during assignments, it will be difficult as everyone needs laptop to complete their work. So carry one if you can.

Hello dear student,
Every student aspiring for admission to an IIT has to first appear for the JEE Main Examination. Once qualified, he/she has to appear for JEE Advanced Examination. ... Those who clear JEE Mains only are eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, SFIs, and State Engineering Colleges (for some States).
While it's difficult to predict that you can get into IIT with 90 marks . Kindly mention your category also and without category it cannot be decided.
Thank you
Hii there, congratulations to you!!
Dear candidate, hope you are doing well, well the question you asked is very complicated and diverse if you think about your future. But there are some aspects where you must think about.
IIST and new IIT's like IIT PATNA, Hyderabad, etc. can be compared but IIT is more a brand and it provides you much more wide range of opportunities if you get into one.
Being in IIST there are high chances to go into ISRO. The ECE department itself is very reserach oriented and aslo it might provide you job. But you will see yourself revolving around Aerospace.
But in IIT you will get to experience many things, IIT patna is new but it's doing really great in recent years.
IIT colleges have slight high package than IIST. But then you must decide whether you want to opt for ECE or Civil branch. Both are very different. Civil is a preferred choice by boys, but now a days, ECE is also in demand, it is more coding and circuit oriented. There are less opportunities in civil for research but there are few. It is more inclined towards designing and working on field which you might enjoy. You can compare both colleges here
