Both IIM Bodh Gaya and IIT Dhanbad are newly recognized institutes that are offering programs for candidates in Management.

• Although IIT Dhanbad has focus more on the Engineering and Science field, it still has a decent MBA faculty with good campus infrastructure. Due to the prestigious tag it has good companies visiting for Placements and by last year records, it had an average package of 6.5 Lakhs per annum for MBA students
• IIM Bodh Gaya is newly established and is considered as 'Baby IIM'. It has a very beautiful campus and good environment. IIM BC also had great companies like E&Y, HSBC, KPMG for recruitment where average package was recorded 10 lakhs per annum and highest was 16-17 lakhs per annum.

You see IIM Bodh Gaya is purely Management based and also has better MBA placement record than IIT Dhanbad. Also at IIM BC you will get whole lot of experience regarding to Management, Finance unlike IIT Dhanbad where Engineers ratio would be high.

the both ISM Dhanbad and IISWbm Kolkata are very prestigious institute for doing MBA. Both have good infrastructure and faculties. But if you look at the the placement of MBA stream we can see that IIT Dhanbad has about 50 to 60% placement records. But in IISwbm Kolkata they have about 70% placement records with highest package of 10 lpa and average package of 7.5 lpa so you should go for IISwbm

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is one of the prestigious institutes of India. The faculties of department of Management are well known and highly respected in their academic fraternities. They are among the best minds in the country. The placement record is quite good. Almost all the eligible students get placed. Many companies recruit MBA Grads like Federal Bank, E&Y, RBI, JSW, Jaro Education, ITC etc from IIT Dhanbad. A few PSUs do recruit from this college also.

To get a seat in IIT ISM you need to score a rank less than 3000 to get a decent branch in IIT ism if you belong to general category.

To get such rank you need to work very hard you should revise all the concept by heart and must practice lot of mock paper before the exam.

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, etc. however according to previous years the cutoff for mtech on thermal power engineering for UR category was 759.

however I suggest you to apply for north east nits, colleges of anna university, vtu, vit vellore.

IIT Kanpur--  Geo Technical

IIT Guwahati -- Infrastructure Engineering and Management

Also, you need to have approx 407 score to get ISM Dhanbad.

• JEE Advanced
• GATE
• CAT
• JAM

Here JEE Advanced is for B.E./B.Tech course, GATE is for M.Tech course, CAT is for management courses and JAM is for M.Sc. or M.Sc.+Ph.D. courses.
