MIT Muzzafarpur(civil):
The college is good and it gives a good percentage of placements in civil Engineering.Top recruiting companies include Johnson Cement,Magadh steel,Prism etc.College offers internships to students and faculties are quite helpful. It provides an amazing Infrastructure and a good surrounding to study.
Electronics in iiit Bhubaneshwar:It provides almost 90-95 % placements and all are from big companies like DELL,Infosys,Tech Mahindra etc.Faculties are too good and helpful. The study environment is good and placement records are too decent in this college.
So,According to my opinion you should go for electronics in IIIT Bhubaneshwar.
All the best!!
Hello Aspirant,
If your concern is for CSE Branch then among all the mentioned colleges only two colleges are the best that are IIIT Bhubaneswar and IIIT Sonepat. As both these universities have the best placement record since the past years into famous companies with attractive salary packages for CSE students also other facilities at the college premises are great but again if compared between these two colleges then IIIT Bhubaneswar is the best amongst all as it has slightly better placement record compared with IIIT Sonepat. So overall both these college's are great for CSE. It depends upon you which you choose based upon your comfort.
Hope this helps
Good Luck
Hello. Yes definitely, but as you have not mentioned your academics, so I suppose that you hold a very good academics.
If any information needed , please let us know.
Hope that helps!
I think you should prefer CSE at IIIT Bhubaneshwar over Civil at NIT Rourkela. Though NIT Rourkela being a more prestigious and older institute, however scope after Graduation in Civil Engineering is very bleak and ultimately you have to rely on the public sector or perhaps prepare for the Non Core Sector or Research Opportunities.
On the other hand IIIT Bhubaneshwar, is one of the steadily rising institute in domains of Information Technology with good infrastructure, excellent faculty and research facilities. It recorded more than 91% placements lat season with companies like Amazon, Amdocs, SAP, Wipro, Accenture, TCS, Samsung being major recruiters with a median pay of almost 10-12 LPA. Secondly in terms of academic prospects, CSE is a field with extensive possibilities and opportunities in domains like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development and Data Analytics. The Institute has a good peer culture, with many graduates moving to Universitues abroad or to higher technical Institutes in India like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for their Masters or Doctoral Studies.
However if you are genuinely interested in pursuing Civil Engineering and had a knack in Mechanics, Physics as well as Drawining and Computer Graphics, you might think otherwise and give preference to NIT Rourkela over IIIT Bhubaneshwar.

Aninkya,
First preference should be your passion. After that you can go for brand name. EEE Branch in NIT Calicut is better option tho.

As a third year B-tech student i have spent two years on campus and want to share my honest experience. Our college boasts a spacious and well maintained campus spread across around 30 acres. The main academic block are clean and fully functional with essential labs and new tech ,modern classrooms equipped with projectors and comfort seating there are also designated seminar halls and conference rooms on the ground floor of academic block. The academic block is mainly divided into 3 blocks, Block A, B and C including a very large and useful library in B block. Hostels are very close to academic block most of the hostel blocks consist of 9 floors each floor consists of 7 rooms with 6 three student rooms and 1 four student room. there is also single room hostels from second year but limited entries depending on CGPA of students. Hostel Mess is inside the hostel in ground and 1st floors. There is also a college canteen, Nescafe outlet (functioning up to 2 am ) and a stationary store inside campus. Whole campus including hostels is equipped with high speed WIFI up to a speed of 350mbps. The campus and hostels are maintained clean and tidy .Food is not the best and non native students find it difficult to maintain but there are other options plenty because mess fee is weekly and optional.
College infrastructure is overall good as it's just 23 acres but it is well maintained. All the required classes and labs are present in the academic block area. We have a large sports ground for football and cricket also.
College infrastructure is quite good there is lot of greenery in our college. Building are a bit old. Rooms are okayish i would say(enough for a person) college is small, it extends upto 30 acres. Overall it is not much bad
