There are less opportunities for GEN candidates to be accepted into IIIT Hyderabad's CSE programme. If an applicant falls under one of the OBC, SC, or ST categories, there is a potential that they will be given a chance to get a seat.

Therefore, it is best to look into alternative choices and to study hard for the next JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams in order to achieve a high score and secure a spot in a reputable IIT or NIT. Dear aspirant,

CSE in IIIT H is extremely competitive and the cutoff is very close cut every year. Looking at the previous year statistics we can say that you have a really good chance of getting ECE and it might be slightly hard for you to get CSE. The cutoff is around 99.85 for girls category but again we can't be so sure as the cutoffs vary from year to year.

With such JEE-Main percentile it is quite difficult to get any of the NITs/IIITs even after considering OBC quota because closing ranks for OBC category is quite good for NITs and IIITs. But with such percentile he can get some other government colleges that are discussed below.

Dear aspirant,

If you are sure and passionate about coding, you should go for IIIT-H. The coursework and coding culture in IIITH is amazing and it will open a  lot of doors for you in future. The atmosphere is highly competitive there but the performance of the campus in terms of coding and placement for CSE is way better. On the other hand, if you want to explore other fields of engineering you should go for NIT-T where you'll be exposed to various facets of engineering in the first year. IIIT-H is performs at par with IITs in the CSE department.
