1) general:-161 and above
2) OBC:-1494-1637
3) SC and ST:-1494-1637
These are the cutoffs on which you may get in and apply for Jadavpur university.
Hope this information helps you out. Thank you.
UPSC is a 3 stage selection process involving Prelims, Mains and Interview which tests your personality test. Prelims has 2 Papers namely General Studies and CSAT.
General Studies has Current Events, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change and General Science.
CSAT has Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving, General Mental Ability, Basic numeracy and Data Interpretation.
Regarding the subjects that you can pursue in Graduation, Candidates who studied, Political Sciences, Life Sciences are the ones who were most shortlisted for Mains. This has got nothing to do with subject preference but mostly because the topics covered in these streams are also beneficial for studying Prelims and Mains. SO you can study Political Sciences or Life Sciences.

Hello aspirant
Jadavpur university releases merit list from their applicants according to their class 12 marks. Marks from best 3 subjects are considered for merit list ranking.
It's okay if you are not from bengal, cbse marks are considered for ranking.
The marking is done by
Best 3 subjects score ( without maths) + maths marks*2
Total marks is rounded to be 500
Cutoff for previous years ba economics (hons) was 472/500
Thus I think given your scores, ug you have more marks in maths then you have decent chances to get into jadavpur university.

A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.
The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.
The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.
