Hi Ranajit,
In Presidency University Kolkata BA in Economics course is not available and instead B.Sc in Economics course is available there.
If you wish to go through detailed information on BSc Economics you can refer to this website :- https://dqxeclau.top/university/presidency-university-kolkata/bsc-economics-hons-course
In St. Xaviers Kolkata similarly instead of BA hons BSc in Economics course is available and you can go through the following website for more information :-
https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/st-xaviers-college-kolkata/bsc-economics-hons-course
If we compare for B.Sc courses in Economics it is quite evident that St. Xaviers is far more better than Presidency.
The NAAC score of St. Xaviers is Grade: A++ | CGPA: 3.77/4 while for Presidency it is Grade: A | CGPA: 3.04/4.
Placement, faculty, college facilities everything is up to the mark and even the students reviews and ratings are also better for St. Xaviers.
You can compare it yourself using this link :- https://dqxeclau.top/compare-colleges?college=5739-1035-course=88927-36847
Hello Aspirant,
See this year in the wake of COVID-19, the WBJEE Counselling is being conducted in online mode only, now you need not to report physically. So as you have got the seat in counselling, now you have to select the option of Accept and Freeze and then you have to pay the seat acceptance fee which is different for different quota like for TFW or State Government quota you have to pay Rs. 5,000/- but for self-financing university quota you have to pay Rs. 40,000/- through online mode only.
There is no need to report the alloted Institute until and unless the session begins. After paying the seat acceptance fee your seat is alloted to you nad when college reopens you have to take that provisional admission letter and other documents to the college for conforming your admission.
For more details refer to the link given below :-
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
Hello Barman!
The details of branch change mechanism in Jadavpur University are yet not very clear because of it being a rather new provision. But I can tell you that you'd be given a chance to do so after completing your first year of study, subject to the availability of seats. If you need any more help then drop a comment on this answer.
Cheers!
hello sauvik
there is no such list exists which tells about the number of students qualified to iit jam .neither the universities mentioned by you nor the IITs publishes such list .however if you want to know that then you can ask some seniors of those colleges or can follow students social media groups.
A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.
The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.
The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.
