If you wish to appear for further upgradation of seat in Jadavpur University WBJEE counseling, then you need to freshly register again for the round 2 counseling. The round 2 registration will begin from September 11, 2020.
During the registration process, the candidates will have to fill their choice of courses and colleges in the order of their preference. Seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the merit of the entrance exam and choices filled by them.
You have the following 3 options to choose from

• if you choosefloatoptions then your College may change if you get upper college given in your prefrence at time of choice filling.
• If you chooseslideoption then only branch on the same college may upgrade according to choice filled by you.
• If you choosefreezeoption means you lock that college with the given branch

Jadavpur University, Civil Engineering department is one of the best departments if you aspire to become a civil engineer.

The workshop classes provide you with all the necessary equipments needed to understand the courses in well maintained way. The University provides each undergraduates with enough liabilities to cover it's course structure in a technical way.

Apart from curriculum, the civil department holds a good range of placements as well in both core and non-core companies. There are a wide range of companies offer for the undergraduates. The AVG placement till date is 4.02 lacs for the civil department.

The details of branch change mechanism in Jadavpur University are yet not very clear because of it being a rather new provision. But I can tell you that you'd be given a chance to do so after completing your first year of study, subject to the availability of seats. there is no such list exists which tells about the number of students qualified to iit jam .neither the universities mentioned by you nor the IITs publishes such list .however if you want to know that then you can ask some seniors of those colleges or can follow students social  media groups.

Jadavpur is the best engineering college in top ten list of India but IIT dhanbad also consist in top ranking but as my suggestion IIT dhanbad is the best option instead jadavpur. Another the main thing many cases branch are main priority than colleges,when you will get top branches of jadavpur like CSE, ECE etc and in IIT dhanbad like petroleum, mineral and environmental engineering then you will go jadavpur but in IIT dhanbad you will get like CSE,ECE and top most branchs so this is the best option to select IIT dhanbad and we know that the IIT is the brand.Hope this was helpful.

Both are good in terms of placement and academics. In context of further discrimination, IIEST is a centrally funded institute and it is going to be named NIT next year. Research opportunities are huge in IIEST. You will face an all Indian competition there. On the other hand, Jadavpur University is famous for quality education and huge placements offered each year.

PLACEMENT :

Jadavpur University / Mechanical Engineering:

As per 2020 placement statistics, 71 students out of 82 eligible got placed in reputed companies. The average CTC was 5.7 LPA and the highest CTC touches 16.8 LPA . As a total 89 companies offered placement to mechanical engineering department of Jadavpur University.

IIEST Shibpur / Electronics and Communication Engineering:

As per 2019 placement statistics, 26 out of 42 eligible candidates got placed in various companies. The average CTC offered was 5.5 LPA . As a total 43 offers was delivered to the students of ECE department of IIEST Shibpur.

The scholarship is made available by central government, state government and other governmental agencies like UGC, AICTE and others. You will surely get scholarship based on your merit, category and annual family income. The procedure to apply is very simple and online. You just need to visit the portal and fill the relevant information. Once approved the scholarship amount will be credited to your bank account through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT).

Jadavpur University is one of the renowned universities in in India as well as West Bengal. and this is the only e government college which accepts GMR of WBJEE.If you are talking about general merit rank, sorry to say you but in this rank you may not get any seats in jadavpur University in b pharma course.
