Dear Aspirants ,

As per your query if you are interested to join B.Arch then basis on NATA you can take admission but if you are wants to join BE or Btech then you must go through WBJEE. BUT In the wake of current covid 19 Pandemic, the admission process is being delayed. As per the recent news, it is expected that Jadavpur University will conduct admission on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination and no Entrance Exams will take place.

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of streams etc. however since this year written test would not conduct shortlisting of students would also depends on their 10th course marks in science subjects. however at this score you have fair chances in tier 1 colleges.

I suggest you to apply for multiple colleges as for making the best possibility of admission in your desired stream.

So both the College are the best colleges in India . So as we know jadhavpur university is in Kolkata and it is a government university and provides a fair placement opportunities for the students when it comes to comparison with the presidency university. Also the presidency university is established later than the jadhavpur university. So it depends upon you who to choose while it will be preferable for you to choose jadhavpur over presidency university.

Astik Goari , All the three courses with there colleges are best but in overall rating and in placement and all features  is Mechanical Engineering in Jadavpur university is best.

But i suggest you please first clarify about your course or a branch then think about college.

Yes , it is possible to change branch after first year in Jadavpur University. But your marks should be high so that you don't have to face any problem in changing the stream of your choice.

First of all- congratuations on getting such a good rank.

With your rank in WBJEE you probably will not get a seat in Jadavpur University as it is the  first choice for any engineering aspirant in west bengal. The last cutoff rank is even under 1000. However you can get courses like ECE and EE etc at Kalyani University! All the best!

Yes,you can change your branch after first year.

But your marks should be high so that you don't have to face problem in Changing the stream.

“We will allow students to apply for a change of stream when they move to the second year. This will depend on the marks they get in the first year and the vacancy in their stream of choice. So, if a student is studying mechanical engineering in the first year and wants to move to electronics in the second year, he or she will be able to do that provided there is a vacancy in electronics and the student scores more than other applicants.”

As per the last year Jadavpur University cutoff rank i.e 2019 to get admission in CSE Branch a OBC student should have a most 304 Rank in WBJEE. Then only you can get admission in CSE in  Jadavpur University. As you have 1106 OBC Rank so you wont get admission in  Jadavpur University CSE Branch.

Assuming that 6759 rank is not your category rank but an overall general rank, you can get Jadavpur University in the field of production engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgical engineering, construction engineering, and civil engineering. It is based on the last year cut-off. I am talking only if the rank provided is under general rank.
