see in previous years jadavpur and presidency university conducted entrance test for admission in bsc course. however this year for the first time admission would be based on 12th score. as per the news of the this two reputed institute, this year class 10th results would be evaluated also to make final merit list. also cutoff score depends on certain factors like number of applicants, students category, seat matrix etc.

Jadavpur University is one of the best engineering colleges of India and so the cutoffs of WBJEE are quite high compared to other Institutes accepting WBJEE Score. As you have GMR 2166, it will be quite difficult to get Jadavpur University as the closing ranks of all branches lie around 700 to 800 ranks. Now you have TFW reservation. It is also true that only a few seats are reserved for TFW candidates. Now going by previous few years' cutoffs, you can expect B.Tech Food Technology and Bio Chemical engineering and Bachelor of Pharmacy. Getting any other branches might be very difficult. Now this is based on previous few years' cutoffs and this year the cutoffs might change. For admission in Jadavpur University, Kolkata for B.Arch course the admission process is that provisional admission will be made on the basis of the Provisional Admission Letter for a seat of Jadavpur University issued by the WB-JEE for Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to Engineering, Medical/Technological Degree Colleges at any of the Reporting Centers provided the candidate satisfies the prescribed following medical fitness. The merit list is made based on WB JEE.  Jadavpur University, Kolkata does not accept NATA score.

As per your query if you are interested to join B.Arch then basis on NATA you can take admission but if you are wants to join BE or Btech then you must go through WBJEE. BUT In the wake of current covid 19 Pandemic, the admission process is being delayed. As per the recent news, it is expected that Jadavpur University will conduct admission on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination and no Entrance Exams will take place.

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of streams etc. however since this year written test would not conduct shortlisting of students would also depends on their 10th course marks in science subjects. however at this score you have fair chances in tier 1 colleges.

I suggest you to apply for multiple colleges as for making the best possibility of admission in your desired stream.

So both the College are the best colleges in India . So as we know jadhavpur university is in Kolkata and it is a government university and provides a fair placement opportunities for the students when it comes to comparison with the presidency university. Also the presidency university is established later than the jadhavpur university. So it depends upon you who to choose while it will be preferable for you to choose jadhavpur over presidency university.

Astik Goari , All the three courses with there colleges are best but in overall rating and in placement and all features  is Mechanical Engineering in Jadavpur university is best.

But i suggest you please first clarify about your course or a branch then think about college.

Yes , it is possible to change branch after first year in Jadavpur University. But your marks should be high so that you don't have to face any problem in changing the stream of your choice.
