So, you have no chance as cutoff is higher to get a seat in Jadavpur University

Jadavpur University is one of the best government Engineering colleges of India. It is quite difficult to differentiate Cse and Electronics and Telecommunication. Needless to say, the placements are absolutely excellent. The professors of Jadavpur University are mostly PhD scholars and they are extremely helpful and experienced. Academically and Infrastructure wise, Jadavpur University is greatest. Being the government engineering college, the fee is very feasible. The placement of both IT and ETC are extremely good. However, more CTC is offered to Information Technology Engineers. Average CTC for IT lies around 12 lpa while it is 7 lpa for Electronics and telecommunications engineers. Around 100 organizations have participated in the campus drive in the current session and most of them were Software and IT companies. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, L&T Technology, Texas Instruments, Directi, Capgemini, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Mentor Graphics, Airtel, PWC, CG power etc every year recruit engineers from Jadavpur University. In the latest placement, around 98% students were placed from IT. The highest package offered was 39 lpa offered by Adobe while the placement percentage is not so impressive for ETC. Around 75% students have been placed from ETC in the lastest session. And the highest package offered was 28.75 lpa. JU has tie ups with many foreign universities, some students are also invited to foreign. Many studnets go for higher studies.

Your GMR in WBJEE is 1729. Jadavpur University is one of the top college under WBJEE and hence the cutoff is usually high here. Here I am listing the closing rank of different categories for B.Pharma :

General : 1135

OBC: 4868

SC: 13585

ST: 29444

Pwd: 6176

EWS: 1135

For female the cutoff was 1995.

Based on this you can predict your chances of getting the same in Jadavpur University.

The PMR( Pharmacy Merit Rank) for WBJEE Ranks will be applicable for admission to all Pharmacy courses except at Jadavpur University.

PMR merit list is used for Pharmacy counselling.

While GRM( General Merit Rank) merit list for WBJEE is applicable for admission to engineering and architecture courses and also to the pharmacy courses at Javadpur University.

The GMR merit list is for used for engineering counseling

As per your rank in WBJEE and you are also the domicile the west  bengal, with the home state quota you have chance that you will get admission in Jadavpur University in Bachelor of Pharmacy.

Last year, Jadavpur University in Bachelor of Pharmacy cutoff goes till 2500 for B.Pharma course with home state quota. So, if you are applying through home state quota you have great chance that you will get this college.

U can work in public sector chemical companies. U can give ur license or use it to start a pharmacy store or manufacturing unit, u can work with govt hospitals, u can work with FDA, u can work with railway hospitals etc n even as a drug inspector
