You can check as you rank fall in this data or not.

GOOD LUCK!

First of all congratulations for your result. The cutoffs change every year as it depends on various factors. And you haven't mentioned if 2088 rank is your SC category rank or General Merit Rank??? Jadavpur University is among the top government Engineering colleges of India. So the cutoffs will be enough higher. If this is your general category rank, then there are chances that you may get Mechanical Engineering. As going by last few years' data, the closing rank for Mechanical Engineering in Jadavpur University through SC quota lies around 5700 GMR after round 3 of counselling. But if this is your SC category rank, then your GMR will be high enough. Then it will be difficult to get Jadavpur University. So you must mention if this is your General Merit Rank or SC category rank?? Unless it will be difficult to predict.

First of all congratulations for your result. The cutoffs change every year as it depends on various factors, but you have a good rank so you can expect a good Engineering college. Based on your rank and going by last few years' data, it might be difficult to get Electrical Engineering in Jadavpur University as after round 3 of counselling, the last rank to enter the college in Electrical Engineering lies around 640 GMR through TFW quota. But the branches based on your rank in TFW you can expect, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil Engineering, Production, Metallurgical, Construction Technology, Power Engineering, Printing Engineering, Food technology and Bio Chemical Engineering. However, this is based on last few years' cutoff and this year it might get changed. But you can get into Jadavpur University, may not be Electrical but other branches mentioned above can be achievable. You can use our WBJee college Predictor tool to know where you have good chances http://dqxeclau.top/wbjee-college-predictor

College Infrastructure: 3.9/5

Placements: 4.3/5
Value for Money: 3.4/5
Campus Life: 4.5/5

An honest review of Jadavpur University.

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.

It is going quite good yet.

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.

My experience at Jadavpur University was great.

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.
