In terms of rating and ranking JNTUH, Hyderabad is on the forward position, all the facilities are provided by both the Universities but gym facility is not given in osmania University, JNTHU is having good faculty ratio than osmania University and student feedbacks of JNTHU are much better than osmania University not only for placement but also for campus life too, so overall JNTHU is better option for B.Tech Chemical engineering.

JNTUH, Telangana does not offer admission through JEE Mains. A separate exam called TS EAMCET is organised for this purpose by the Telangana State Council for Higher education. For more information, and cutoff for different branches in JNTUH, please have a look at the following link

If you want to get a free seat in JNTU, Hyderabad you must belong to SC/ST category with parent's annual income less that 2.5 lakhs or you must secure a rank below 10,000.Candidates who secure rank below 10,000 will get full fee reimbursement irrespective of their categories.Now, to get free seat in JNTU, Hyderabad your rank must be within 100 if you belong to general category or if you belong to any reserved category your rank must be within 500.To get such rank you need to score 140 or above.

Cutoff for mechanical engineering is :-

  1. For general category  2951 for OU and 1431 for UR.
  2. For BC-A category 9006 for OU and 4602 for UR.
  3. For SC 13578 for OU .
  4. For ST 12709 for OU.

see at this score you have less chances for jntuh or osmaia university if you opt for mtech in structural engineering related course and it goes for any of the category you belongs to, I suggest you to try some other mtech entrance exams like vitmee, bitshd.

To get free seat in JNTU, Hyderabad or CBIT you must belong to SC/ST category with parent's annual income less than two lakhs.Candidates fulfilling this criteria will get full fee reimbursement from Telangana state government.However, candidates who secure rank with 10,000 will get free seat irrespective of their category.To secure such rank you need to score 130 or above marks in EAMCET.

The depends on your category because the cut off rank will be different for each category and cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly depending on number of candidates appeared, number of candidates qualified, difficulty of exam etc.Considering previous year cut off your rank must be in top 500 if you belong to general category and if you belong to any reserved category then your rank must in top 2000.

JNTU Kakinada follows a standard admission process wherein candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics as major subjects and with minimum 50% of marks are eligible to apply. Selection for college seats are on the basis of marks obtained in EAMCET (Engg, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test).

However, the admission is either through EAMCET counseling or by enrollment with Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, Kakinada

College Infrastructure

The college has good infrastructure. The classrooms are clean and spacious, with proper seating and ventilation. The library has many books and a quiet place to study. Labs are well-equipped with the necessary tools for practical work. There is Wi-Fi on campus, and computer labs are also available. The campus is green and well-maintained, with places to sit and relax. Hostels are decent, with basic facilities like clean rooms, water, and food.

It was really a good experience for me

College Infrastructure

It is a spacious college with good labs, library, department, medical, etc. The college provides a cricket ground, basketball, football, volleyball courts and even a separate complex for indoor games. Hostels were good and food quality was also good in both mess and canteen.

It was good experience with this college.
